Yeah I'll say it the 360 controller is horrible

I have a ps3 and a 360 and I've gotta say the 360 controller is horrible. I hear people spouting off all the time about how good it is it's a peice of #@$%. The D pad is horrible, the trigger placement is horrible, the fact that you need to buy batteries is horrible, who ever came up with the idea to put hook the mic up to the controller should be taken out back and shot, the concave triggers are horrible. I hate the damn thing. I like the 360 but I can't stand the controller. I think anything microsoft designs from a hardware perspective is junk.

When I have a cool, sleek dualshock in my hands I forget that I'm even holding a controller.  I am one with the game.  When I try playing an action packed game with the 360 controller I'm constantly pulled out of the experience by the discomfort the controller causes... BUT WAIT!  THERES MORE!  Order now.

No, but really thats how I feel.  I dont know why the 360 controller does that to me.  Playing Super Meat Boy, Ninja Gaiden 2, or the Trials games always felt uncomfortable and I'd have to put down the controller for a bit.

The D-Pad is bad but not much uses it and I have an SF4 pad for arcade games.

The triggers beat the crap out of the PS3s. And are essential for racing and flight games. They give really good depth and resistance for acceleration and braking. Analog buttons don't come close. I was stunned when I tried using analog buttons to do the job on the PS2, it was just bad, they're a silly idea. Not sure how good the triggers are on the PS3, but all I hear is complaints.

As for batteries you can get chargeables, like the quick charge kit. And it's not like the Wii remote that rinses batteries quick.

Where do you want the mic connection to be?

To me it's less about what good or bad but what you're used to.

consoles should have open gamepad support and allow you to use the competing console's controllers

also if PS4 doesn't let you use PS3 controller, don't buy it, and don't buy 720 if it doesn't let you use 360 controller.

I too prefer PS3 controller, but I guess its just because Im more used to it.

The battery stuff is really pain in the arse, other than that both controllers are fine.

The analog sticks are also concave which is horrible for gaming. The awkward analog stick placement makes it difficult to reach for LB button.

I simply can't understand how someone can say it's a good controller. It's actually bad.

Also, its well known that the D-Pad on the 360 controller is crap. It's also a well known fact that the 360 controller has better triggers and better analog placement than the DS3.

As someone else said, it pains me that you like Breaking Bad, because it's obvious your personal preference is sh!t.

One of them called the other racist for laughing at Europeans, which isn't correct because Europe is not a race.

The 360 controller is great for 3D games, but if you're a 2D style fan (platformers, shmups, fighting games with 2D gameplay, etc.) then you've got to go with the Saturn controller, which is the best gamepad, period, for these types of games.
