Good news if you were waiting for a $20 discount on the Xbox One, and you can help clear some of the overstock from Fry's inventory.

Amazon had it for $430, better deal but not available anymore.
I generally like Fry's, they've lots of good deals, and the one I went to back when I lived in Washington had like every game imaginable. Since moving to California their Fry's stores are shit, like going to an over-sized flea market, and their game sections are a joke.
Still $180 overpriced for what the system offers. Its just a last gen system 2.0, it shouldn't cost over $300. Upgrading from ~700p to 720p isn't much of an upgrade in 2014.
XB1 bombing confirmed. It's clogging up valuable shelf space, stores are willing to take a hit to get rid of hot garbage asap.

A single retailer decided to do a 20$ discount.
And why would retailers do a discount on a products they can't even have cause Sony can't product enough?

And this is why i consider you a moron..
Sony can't produce enough PS4.? Sony produce on 2013 4.2 million PS4 that 300,000 more than MS produce on 2013,and they sold every single one by December 28,while MS only sold 3 million out of the 3.9 million shipped.
So yeah you will not find a retailer selling a PS4 for $379 because the demand is of high that if anything you will see expensive bundles or over priced units, alone side $399 units.

Sony not producing enough consoles to create a "rarity" and keep the price up

I don't know what's funnier:
you posting in both of these threads in the same manner, or
you actually believing that Sony is intentionally creating a supply shortage.
The latter is exceptionally comical.

Not saying they are....but they have done it before.
Most hardware companies do it though to be honest. It is a way of simulating demand so to speak. Smart business for an industry leader, not so much for challengers.
MS cant afford to do it since their console is more expensive.
Business 101
Looks like retailers are getting tired of the mountains of Xbones collecting dust on their shelves. Meanwhile they can't seem to keep PS4s on shelves because they are selling out so fast.
"B...bu....bu...but I can't find Xbones anywhere!!11". LOL lems
Everywhere I go there are stacks of X1's. My closest gamestop has a manager made printout taped to their door with large font words reading XBOX ONE's ARE IN STOCK!!!!!
that has been hanging there for a couple weeks now... My local best buy has a display with about 20-30 of them right to the left of the entrance with a HUGE sign pointing towards them and associates trying to funnel people right in front of them.
those "sales numbers" are more than likely "units shipped" and not necessarily "units sold."
I have not seen a PS4 in a store since I got mine at the midnight launch.
Maybe it is just hype... but it isn't just a coincidence anymore. It should be clear that PS4 is dominating early on. However, we all know things can turn around pretty quickly.
It's still too expensive plus a lot of people are against the bundled Kinect so until Microsoft excludes that it will not sell. Plus these mandatory updates which demand a mandatory internet connection implies that they lied to everybody once again but yet they are surprised that people don't want to buy their console. I'm sorry but it's a $300 console period!
price drop always good right ? so why spin it cow
A price drop 2 months from launch don't be ridiculous this is the console market price drops don't happen in 2 months, unless your behind. lemming...
if it is then so what's your problem

What other console has sold 4.2 million units on 2 month launch.?
Come on they could have produce 6 million and they all would have been sold by now.

I stock bread & I stock it at my local Sam's Club. I go in there when they open in the mornings & then again about 4:00pm. When they get some PS4s (once a week) in which is about 12 PS4s each time the store worker told me they are stocked before opening up at 10:00 AM. When I get there at 4:00pm they're all sold most of the time or 2-3 left is all. While the Xone's are always in stock. He says they get about 15 Xones in about every 2 weeks & they never sell out before the next shipment.
They sell the PS4's for $489 & the XOnes for $499 there also.

Only $180?
The ridiculous $300 fee for online play alone would make me question whether it'd be worth buying right now. There's hardly anything worth playing on it, and it doesn't look like there is anything interesting in the works. $300 without an online fee would probably be worth it in the long run, but with MS being so untrustworthy I'd still wait it out until there are more games out. For all we know they drop support in a year or two.
