Didnt take very long did it :?
its too early to pass judgement on the reliability of the slim but thats not a good sign imo.

Looks like he did that on purpose. I can makea PS3 Slim give a YLOD if I try too.
And that isn't a RROD or GROD it's a reset by the 360 because of overheating from that give plugging up the vents.
Oh and look he has Blu-Ray movies that tells me he is a Sony fanboy.

What The? Did you skip the fact that he has more HD-DVD's in that picture, you know for the Xbox HD-DVD add on?
The user is a SW user named Kuu, if you know him from SW, you would know he is an Xbox fan but this is real.
He posted more pictures that that because when he told people they jumped on him, so he took like eight pictures. Now that we have pictures of both the screen and the console, it's never enough in SW, is it? :P
[QUOTE="LastRambo341"]lol, nice faking ;)SolidTy
They aren't fake, if you know SW user Kuu, he is actually a big Xbox fan. Still, it's just one case for SW so far, it's not widespread.
No, he actually did something to make the 360 have a hardware failure.[QUOTE="SolidTy"][QUOTE="LastRambo341"]lol, nice faking ;)LastRambo341

No, he actually did something to make the 360 have a hardware failure. In a different thread at Gamespot, he said he didn't do that on purpose, and posted to see if anyone else had an issue.
Who knows, he could have dropped it for all we know, but according to him, it was like this out of the box with care and all. Eh.
I bought my Xbox 360 on Friday it is now Sunday. I have left it on since purchase hasn't been turned off yet and it's fine.
A sony fanboy with HD DVDS, makes perfect sense.Look at that dusty place he put the console at.
Yeah he is a Sony fanboy!

Yeah now in SW you need more than pictures you need live Videos. :P

Yeah, that's true...but I have a feeling that even with Video's people would say, "YOU DOCTORED THE FOOTAGE!! Video Manipulation FTL!"
"I want realtime streaming for proof...and possibly a Gamespot Emblem for watching!" :P
Who doesn't clean the area their new console is going in? does it make me a sad case that I give my new console a regal welcome? I keep them cleaner than most things in my house too :?.
this is ridiculous people. we just had an amazing E3 and a lot of great things to talk about and yet these boards are flooded with RROD threads about the new xbox. who cares? theres nothing microsoft could do to please you people. if one fails out of a million, people are gonna blow it up on these boards to make it seemlike all systems are failing. lets find something else to talk about

Wow, does your mind really work like that?
He also has several HD-DVDs, maybe he just likes, oh I don't know, HD movies?
That's new. So this thing has a temperature monitor and emergency shut down. If anything this should mean that it's less susceptible to hardware failure.
But heh, if this prevents the ROD from ever showing up, no three year warranty for you. Or are they still running that policy with new 360's? It's not like they'd announce that they've halted it.
that's not permanent hardware failure. Give it more ventalation like the xbox says and it will be back to normal

Though i remember the first time I played my launch 360 it showed the overheating message about an hour after I started playing. Never had any problems after that though.
I like how defensive some people are "NO, ITS NOT POSSIBLE, THE NEW 360 IS FLAWLESS, WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT HAS ISSUES, YOU'RE CRAZY, ITS PERFECT NOW, THEY FIXED IT!"
I'm sure its an isolated issue and its not a big deal, but everyone calling fake or sony fanboy is hilarious.
funny that people are even saying clean the shelf, if the 360 isn't capable of functioning because of a tiny bit of dust in the corner of your shelf them something is definitely wrong :lol:I like how defensive some people are "NO, ITS NOT POSSIBLE, THE NEW 360 IS FLAWLESS, WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT HAS ISSUES, YOU'RE CRAZY, ITS PERFECT NOW, THEY FIXED IT!"

Dude, this thing has been out for like three days. He would've had to have actively poured dust into the vents for that to have been the catalyst. Hope that wasn't what you were implying, because that's silly.Maybe you should clean that shelf, son.

that isn't a permanent failure though. just look at the second screen.
besides, it's not like MS is remotely capable of releasing a perfect console. but I knew something was going to be blown out of proportion over one find.
like TC said, let's wait, and let's find a permanent failure while we're at it:|

so true, and it actually is not broken like you say it just is protecting itself. I guess when you are a SONY rabbid fanboy and are blowing a hair dryer into the xbox 360 fan vent you will get results, problem is that its not broken so major epic fail. the redesign is the best on the market.
I got a warning message like that on my PS3, right before it went YLoD. The fact there's a warning message doesn't mean it's not going to fail. The more important issue here is that the system is having hardware issues and overheating (with adequate ventilation) when it's not more than a couple days old.that isn't a permanent failure though. just look at the second screen.

I think Sony fans are trying so hard to defunk the new xbox 360, also you do have a year warrenty but the overall perception is grand for the new 360. Nobody but maybe 1 percent is having issues, better than SONY PS3 Slim for sure which I got YLOD the 2nd day I had it.
For some reason the 360 slim in the OP's picture looks really lame compared to the promo shots we've been seeing. Like it's painted with a dull dark grey instead of the shiny black, and also seems less angular.
That's a shame. Hope it's not a big problem for everyone.
I don't see how that's funny.
Oh my...yeah, uh...A user SW Kuu had an issue, and those are his pics. So for it's isolated though. :P
SW is pretty interesting place at times.

Of course it is.
The question is how many lemons are out there?
So far, just his thank goodness.
does anybody remeber nofreikenlemons????
he's gone now and right during e3, cheers my good friend

It's hard to explain here at Gamespot, but it has nothing to do with the tragic circumstances of the thread, it's something else entirely.

I vaguely remember him (nofriekenlemons ), I didn't know he was gone from SW or GS.
What's that red part mean?
