From what it looks like according to the blogger (and mind you he's talking to store employees only) it looks as though the price drop does not effect the Core system, how weird........

Yeah, I also thought so as well. I guess they can't afford to drop the price of theCore just yet. They probably make money on the HDD now which is why theydrop the price of thePremium and the Elitebut not the Core (because it doesn't have a HDD)

They could have atleast dropped the premium to $299 for such lousy hardware. Damn and I was thinking of buying another xbox 360 to put in my lounge room.squallff8_fan

You might have to wait for them to flush out all the ones that have shipped and are still on the shelves that were made one with the design flaw to sell before you can be sure you get a newer one that should be devoid of this flaw (one would think they'd fix this......right....?)

I dont know about that. PS3 had too much of a brand awareness about it. Microsoft offered next gen when it needed too and now the #'s prove that it was the right decision.
