Better than HS and Resistance and as good as Bioshock?
For the hell of it they should've just given fl0w a 10. These boards would've descended into anarchy, ordinary respected people would've turned into animals and its possible the second comming of christ would've occured.
Well deserved imo. Its the very first turn based rpg that i found not only fun but addictive. I have even gone the last few days without playing Halo 3 since iv been glued to this.
Though I am still a little suprised to see Gamespot give it AAA since they have (imo) under-rated arcade games before the biggest being Assault Heroes.
wow, it's insane that they would give that game such a high score. It looks lame. I mean it could be a bit fun but 9.0? On a site that is known for being really tight with their AAAs?

When i first saw itI thought it was just another Hexic rpg elements tacked on but once I played it i was very suprised and happy to find that it goes alot deeper than that.
May have to check it out. I didnt think Arcade games counted since Sheep cant claim Paper Mario. I guess it only counts if it benefits that certain group. Oh well, Ican have em all so its a win win for me

Paper Mario wasn't a new IP/Game it was an exactport from an earlier console.
I have Puzzle Quest on my DS and I hate it. It is easily the most blatantly cheating game in the history of video games.
They even mention it in the review:

Difficulty level can be inconsistent.
One second you are actually competing really well, and the next you are watching the enemy drop combos chains that completely destroy your face, with perfect drops and set ups after each move. It's absoultely disgusting.
Interesting how it scored .5 higher then the PSP version.

Certain spells now have cooldown timers, and the companion bug from the PSP version has been addressed, among other things. In our experience with the game, the changes were noticeable, but their effect on the gameplay wasn't overt.
Also they improved the graphics and added online play. That is worth .5 IMO
I don't count VC games as Wii's games, so it would be hypocritical to count XBLA games.manningbowl135
VC games shouldn't be counted because they are carbon copies of the orignals. They don't address bugs, add multiplayer, add features, add achievements, online leaderboards, or improve the graphics, like this game did ....and many others on LIVE arcade.
It is an amazing blend of strategy, puzzle, and quite-extensive RPG elements. If you like any of those genres, you will like this game. If you love all three genres, you will play this game for dozens of hours. Not bad for $15.
