360 cause most of my friends who own a console have it with xbox live. i think that's gonna change now that ps3 is only $299 but for the time being well...theBeornthat's how i am too. and really, i know this is incredibly stupid, but i actually like achievements better than trophies (i know, its dumb).
360 hands down. Batman was an anomaly with the Joker etc. And that was only for challenges. MW2 will have timed exclusive maps. PS3 multiplats still are not up to snuff. Only way I'd get a PS3multiplat is if clanmates really pushed for it.
I have both and I usually base my decision on one of three factors:
1. If I've played another game from that series on that console I'll get the sequel for that because I like keeping my game series on the same console (PS1/PS2=PS3, Xbox=360)
2. If I have friends that are buying a certain version of the game I'll usually go with that version
3. Whatever console "feels" right. I don't know how to explain it, but sometimes a game just screams out "360!" to me and others its screaming "PS3!". Whatever seems to be the best fit is usually what I end up going with if it doesn't fall under the first 2.
If it has multiplayer, ill go where my friends are...which is XBL. However, if it is single player, I would probably go PS3, unless the 360 version is better
If they are equal games, 360. If they are slightly different w/ PS3 having a slight edge & it's got Online MP? 360
If the PS3 by some act of god has more content and better visuals/framerate, then PS3. I'm not holding my breath though.
i just like playing games on 360 better. my ps3 is mostly used for movies and ps3 exclusives. only game i buy on ps3 is madden because most of my real life friends own a ps3 not 360.
360 because of Live, controller, achievements, DLC, and i like the dashboard better. PS3 is mostly reserved for exclusives, mainly because it doesnt upscale games like 360, you can only play them in the native resolution, except for very few that do support 1080p :(navyguy21yeah i wish sony would fix it. so we didnt have to uncheck 720p in oder to play those 1080 p games in 1080p. then if it dont support it our games get knocked down to 480i. so you have to keep going back and forth checking and unchecking 720 p.

I only have Mirrors edge, Prototype and Batman for PS3 as far as multis go. Allothers I buy for 360 simply because I prefer the controller, achievements pop up, and MS is an American company and I am an American.
360.... Never had any problems with my 360 before (including but not limited to, RRoD). 1 Custom soundtrack 2. Usually has slightly better than the PS3. 3. Like the controller better for most games 4. Cross Chat with friends 5 90% of people on Live have mics(also might backfire against you) 6. Usually better Live intergration 7. Full install usually make the game loads faster. I think I might stay PS3 with a few mutiplats... Tekken 6, Final Fantasy 13...ect...ect...Shattered007
oh you gonna get it now lol. anyways ps3 for the free online for me.

^This fo sho.
you two should get married and raise a bunch of calves.
PS3 for multiple reasons.
1. Scratch resistant discs.
2. Free multiplayer
3. Shareable DLC
4. Preference of controller
5. I find trophies more addictive since they give you percent completes and the ability to level up.

If you own both, the 360 would be the obvious choice, especially if you are paying for Live. Better online, better controller, better ports, custom soundtracks, parties, cross game invites, etc etc
The only reason people would choose the PS3 over the 360 would be if there were exclusive content, aka Batman
