With Dead Space 2 scoring better on PS3, will Portal 2/MK9 follow suit?

Exclusive content can make all the difference. The recent review of Dead Space 2 has proven this to be true. It is also 100% confirmed that the PS3 versions of Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat 9 will have free, permanent exclusive content that will never be available on the Xbox 360. Will both games score better on the PS3 in the same way Dead Space 2 scored better on the PS3?

i guess it depends on how many wii rail shooters that exist.

I can foresee 360 version of Bulletstorm getting .5 higher score. It has a Gears 3 demo invite right?

With Portal 2 I can see it happen since you will get access to two different versions (Windows and MAC). But with MK9 I don't see it happening. Remember that with DS2 you got a complete game free, with MK9 it's just basically simple DLC equivalent.

Hard for both.

It has Kratos, i don't know what else, if that's all, then by no means it will score higher.

with all due respect, but giving the ps3 version of Dead Space 2 a +0,5 because it comes with another game included.. well that's stupid. you are judging Dead Space 2, if you also want to judge Extraction, then make a separate review for it.

A more appropriate thing to do I think would have been just slapping the editors choice thing on the ps3 version.

• Digital Steam Copy of the game
• Crossplatform gaming between PC, Mac and PS3.

Now Mortal Kombat? Just because of a single extra character? Nah, forget about it. They will score the same.

Yeah just going by one game we won't reach anything. We need a bunch of games that meet the criteria and see what GS did as a norm.

Because when you purchase the product "Dead Space 2" from the store on PS3, you get 2 games for a $60 price tag, as opposed to the 360's 1 game for the $60 price tag.

Please tell me what's Better:

Dead Space 2 + Extraction on one disk/package - $60

Yeah, the .5 score was justified, because the PS3 version has A LOT more content on it and it isn't on a seprate disk. That would be like not taking multiplayer into consideration when reviewing Bad Company 2. The multiplayer comes with the game, so it's part of the package. Like it or not, it's no different with Dead Space 2 on PS3.

Why would MK9 recieve a better score for just having a extra character? I can understand Portal 2 since it does contain steamworks features and access to the PC/Mac version o P2.

Reviews also consider money value, PS3 = 2 games for $60, 360 = 1 game for $60

I don't see how any of those games can score higher than its counterparts. :|

So by your logic, Bad Company 2 should only be reviewed by it's Single Player campaign? Multiplayer isn't the same as single player, so it shouldn't be taken into consideration when being reviewed... :roll:

Wrong, BC2 is one game, there is no need to review the SP & MP separately. if BC2 was to come with an extra game like BF1943 then I would desagree to review the game as one

The PS3 version is better because there IS MORE TO PLAY. When you buy Dead Space 2, you get much more content than the 360 counterpart, since the higher score.

Also, the fact you got the PS3 version has very little relevance to the argument at hand.

I didn't see anyone complainging when the Orange box got a higher score than Half-Life 2, but hey, that's not important to System Wars, now is it? :roll:

Portal 2 might (and if Valve does it right, it SHOULD), but the only difference in MK9 is Kratos... that's nice and all, but one extra character that has absolutely nothing to do with the MK Universe and will likely not be all that great... yeah, no.
