Most likely, which is sad. But there are several questionable design decisions that made it into the odd man out.

Its cheap because compared to the Wii and DS, no one buys it, haha

First the WiiU is a next gen console. Second it is the low sales of the GC that brought Nintendo to their current strategy. The GC was graphically superior to the PS2, and what did it get them? Some great games, no doubt, a cult following, and low sales numbers. That being said, they need to make a decision as to what their identity in the gaming business is going to be. If you want the gamers crowd, they have to compete with Sony and MS technically. They don't have to be the most powerful, as MS will show this gen, just be in the same ballpark in order to get the 3rd party support. Or be a very childrens friendly, niche games console that mom and dad can count on for very young kids. I say very young because 8 and up are wanting COD these days.

They just made so many bad design choices, and policies, and then coupled that with terrible marketing.

I bet it'd sell better by just simply having a name other than Wii U. What an awful name. They made the same mistake with the 3DS. Only difference is they were able to lower the 3DS price down to nearly the same price as the DS, so it became the obvious choice to buy. They can't lower the Wii U's price down to $150, and make it the obvious choice to buy.

i think once the games start rolling out the sale will go up. i plan on buying a wii u but i haven't brought one yet because i'm waiting for mariok art 8 and ssb to arrive.
