According to someone who was told by someone else the WiiU will run 3D at 1080P after launch.

I really don't believe this.

It's not hard to believe, the current HD consoles can do normal 1080p 60fps but how many games are? Wii U will do 3D 1080p but probably won't be used.

I'm talking about 3D.3D takes a lot of computing power and the tablet takes a bit of computing power to.The WiiU will probably not run 3D at 1080 bwecause of theese two reasons.

Being capable of 3D 1080p and actual games being 3D 1080p is different though, as I said, how many games on HD consoles are true 1080p 60fps despite the consoles supporting that? I can't think of any, maybe some sport game.[QUOTE="super600"][QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"]

It would be a little embarrassing if the Wii U didn't have some 3D implantation for Nintendo after the 3DS. BlabadonNot really, probably the opposite. Point of 3DS was "no glasses". Current 3D TV tech requires glasses so if anything it will be embarrassing if Nintendo started showing off 3D for the Wii U which would require glasses.
I remember nintendo saying the wii u is capable of 3D but that isnt the main focus? i remember reading something about wii u being capable of it , just whether it is used is uknown so i think the wii is fully capable of doing that , if the wii is capable of 3d-with games like -attack of the movies 3d then why the heck wouldnt wiiu be able to run 3d?

For some people it takes longer to grow out of the Nintendo period.

There's a difference between being "capable" of 3D (which in all honesty, who cares?) and actually running it in HD. Huge difference.

Just because I don't believe a product will run things at 1080P and with 3D that means I'm becoming a ninty hater.WTH.
Not gonna happen. You'd get a max of 24fps at 1080p for 3D because of bandwidth limitations. Unless they throw in DisplayPort, and TVs start accepting dual-DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort connections as well, it won't happen for games. It would only make sense for Blu-Ray 3D. 3D at 720p is completely possible, and it only limited by the developer if they want to include it or not.

Sure "embarrassing" is an adjective that won't affect Nintendo in a harsh way, but it will definitely be brought up later on in the life cycle.

Actually it's Sharp's screen and I think it was used in a few phones as well. :P

And yet they never do it ever.... Why is every console game a sub-HD blurrfest at 20-30 fps?

Nonetheless, the screen is made for 3D quick switching on and off for all models, whereas my TV has 3D but my neighbor's doesn't. Good catch though. An anonymous developer who told a guy, who told his wife, who told her cousin, who told another guy, who told a media web site that the Wii U can do 3D at 1080p. The rumor mill keeps on turning...

I don't know if someone has pointed this out, but wasn't the whole "Glasses 3D is a thing of the past, glassless 3D is the future" a mouthful in E3's conference??? And now what?? they go back to the past?? mouth full of sh!t!!!

Answer- Beyond lame. The only term suitable would be rehash.
It comes as no surprise to me being that the Wii went backwards and the Wii-U's trailing full steam backwards to the 7th as an 8th gen console.
Nintendo absolutely sucks.

What are they rehasing in this case?
I never cared about 3D, its just a fad that came back because some guy found that you dont need those stupid blue and red glasses. I only see 3D as good in movies, but not even that because most 3D moves only show a LITTLE depth because it might cause SOME people to get eyestrain, ans so it has never reached its full potential, but il only start caring when they make a startrek holo-deck !!!!

I suppose you have a copy of the Wii U specs and can interpret them better than the experts at Crytek, 5th Cell, Gearbox, and THQ?
Are people really bashing the Wii-U for a lack of 3D?
The Wii-U has never been about 3D at any point, the entire point of the Wii-U has always been the tablet controller.
[QUOTE="RR360DD"]Nobody gives a shlt about 3D anymore.l34052
Errr i do, maybe you should actually buy a 3d tv and and play a 3d game on it before you spout off and make yourself look stupid:roll::roll:
yes 3D is great :D , only people who cant afford it are hating it , playing without 3D is like playing on CRT tvs now after enjoying the magic of depth[QUOTE="darkdude2k12"]

Least with glasses anyway I haven't spend a lot of time on glass free like 3ds yet. Please Log In to post.
