This is coming from a guy who used to enjoy California Games on his Master System. Keep that in mind.

Wave Race 64 - 8.6
Wave Race 64 (Virtual Console) - 9.0 (IGN) (original was 9.7)

Wave Race Blue Storm - 8.5
Wave Race Blue Storm - 9.2 (IGN)

Everyone complained that the swordfighting in Red Steel sucked. Wii Sports Resort demo's one to one swordfighting in Wii games.

Nintendo creates and demo's the technology. Now it's up to third party developers to use it.

Sad thing is Blue Storm looks much better even though it was an early GC game.

But both Wave Race games sure have held up very well, it helps having the best water physics at the time they were released.

I still am not feeling regret over selling my Wii, it looks as uninspiring as the first one.

I like the concept of WSR, but I'm not sure its gonna be executed as they say.

Yeah, I am not convinced on how much better this mostion sensor is, until some demo with actual people is released.

But, definently something new and interesting. =)

Meh. All I want from Nintendo now is a stand-alone Wii Bowling. Then my Wii library will truly be complete.

I find it fairly disappointing that Nintendo already has to put out a new device to try and improve the motion sensing for the Wiimote.

The sword-fighting, I have to admit, looks amazing. When Reggie and what's-her-name battled, they were kind of waggling. I'd prefer to have an actual battle. Thinking about your moves :D.

It is a bunch of demo's. Demo's for third party developers to take inspiration from and ultimately copy.

And come on, Wave Race is headlining. :D

If you had told me the followup to Wii Sports would be the most promising thing at e3 from Nintendo I never would've believed it. UGH.

This looks no better or worse than the original.

Mediocre, a 7.0 - 7.5.

Good game for non-video game players who want something to play that takes no practice or skill. An empty but passably fun distraction.

This is in every sense Wii Sports 2.

The original Wii Sports was 7.8 which iirc is Good, not Mediocre. The original Wii Sports needed Motion Sensing Plus, and Wave Race alone is an AA title. (AAA on IGN)

Medicore was a little harsh. I wasn't talking Haze level bad, just interesting yet highly forgettable - empty, shallow.

The appeal of Wii Sports is largely for people who don't play games. It's just a collection of minigames, quick little distractions.

"Amazing." Hardly.
