Face it! we all dreamed about the infinite possibilities of the new wiimote controller, the potential of new exciting gameplay

we all thought this would deliver the best FPS on earth, we expected awesome swordfighting games, we all drooled at the promise of 1:1 sword movement in games that would take ACTUAL skill wielding the sword to progress, we were promised higher AI on enemies since the wiimote enabled so easy and intuitive controls that difficulty should be increased (red steel)

and specially "imagine all the awesome things that third parties will make with teh wiimote!!!! just imagine TEH POTENTIAL!!!! TEH POTENTIAL!!!!!!"

and just look at the quality of the stuff we'are getting, tons of third party games on the 6 score range

you just got to admit that what we were promised before launch and what we're actually receiving is QUITE different, so now there's the eternal excuse.........give it time!, the future!!!!, it will get better!!! developers need to learn wiimote!!!!.... please... shouldnt be seeing at least some of those AWESOME new games by now? the only thing that comes close to the promise is Wii Sports, sometimes i feel that non gamers buy the wii believing that all games will be as innovative as wiisports.......surprise surprise.... they are not

how do you compare your expectations of what wii would deliver, versus what we really got?

3rd party devs are just lazy. Once metroid Prime 3and Mario galaxy come along you will see what the wiimote can really do.

Come on, this is the DS all over again, most third parties will poop on it. Only occasionally will a third party deliver a gem of a game, for the rest of your innovation... rely on nintendo. And don't act surprised on this, none of you... you should've seen this coming, it was obvious. It's a new way of controlling, it's popular so a) third party devs have no clue what to do with it, or think up some half-arsed gimmicky idea... b) third party devs will be forced by their publishers to make mind-numbingly boring titles, that simply rip off the few gems from Nintendo and the select few third party devs who have it in them to make something original...

How would you define third party? There are a ton of Japanese third party devs that do a lot of great work on the DS, but they are published by Nintendo. Western third parties largely ignored the DS until very recently.

Face it! we all dreamed about the infinite possibilities of the PS3, the potential of new exciting gameplay

we all thought this would deliver the best Graphics on earth, we expected awesome Physics games, we all drooled at the promise of raytracing in games that would take ACTUAL eyes to see, we were promised higher AI on enemies since the Cell enabled so intelligent and humanlike that difficulty should be increased (Gundam)

and specially "imagine all the awesome things that third parties will make with teh Cell!!!!eleven!!1! just imagine TEH POTENTIAL!!!! TEH POTENTIAL!!!!!!"

and just look at the quality of the stuff we'are getting, tons of third party games on the 6 score range

you just got to admit that what we were promised before launch and what we're actually receiving is QUITE different, so now there's the eternal excuse.........give it time!, the future!!!!, it will get better!!! developers need to learn wiimote!!!!.... please... shouldnt be seeing at least some of those AWESOME new games by now? the only thing that comes close to the promise is Resistance: Fall of Man, sometimes i feel that gamers buy the PS3 believing that all games will be as innovative as Half Life 2.......surprise surprise.... they are not

how do you compare your expectations of what PS3 would deliver, versus what we really got?

Gears360

I don't know... I really don't know...

*sidenote* Two can play at this game... Quote was fixed for accuracy...

After playing Trauma Center and Elebits, the Wii has succeeded in meeting my expectations.

Also, it takes time for a game to be created. Developers were and probably still are surprised by the Wii's success. They were not planning games for the Wii -- and it will take time for developers to learn the Wiimote. It's a control scheme that is different from what they are used to. I know you won't accept that answer, but it's the truth. So stop pressing the exclamation mark key, calm down, and be patient. The good games ARE coming.
