Why are people not getting 3d dot heroes?

I am loving 3d dot game heroes!!! (like almost all Atlus releases!) and I look at the PS3 section of gamespot and it isn't even listed on popular, or out now. The game came out today. I was the only one out of around 50 people playing the game. I have heard very little hype from people on here (except maybe a few months ago when announced for us release) Is no one excited about this game?

I am wondering if it is a retro thing, that newer gamers don't get? I am also in love with playing Holy invasion of Privacy badman 2! Another game that gets very little hype and is just fantastic. It shares the 8/16 bit disign astetic. Maybe its a generational thing. I seem to love old school throwbacks and dungeon crawlers, and pretty much anything Atlus puts out there. I guess if its not a shooter or a super production value game it gets little fanfare around these parts.

I told my friend to get it, but he said he'd never heard of the game before, and he's the sort of person I'd assume would automatically know when a game like this comes out considering he owns a PSP/DS/PS3 just for games like these.

I'm sure he's forgotten about it by now.

I'll just go with the fact that it's not a AAA production, nor does it have any advertising.

I like 3d dot heroes and plan to pick it up sooner or latter. I just don't really know after beating Zelda so many times during my youth if I really want to play a remake. Maybe others are thinking the same thing. Then you also have others who might think if I wanted to play Zelda why not buy it for $5 on VC. I am in no way saying the game is bad please don't take it that way. It just as a lot against it. The least not being coming out in a month of other really good games.

I also think the game would do better on a handheld.

There are other titles I want to pick up first.

I'm interested in other games right now, maybe one day when it's in the bargain bin section.

i'll get it at some point, busy getting the AAA titles i havent gotten on Xbox 360 at the moment, once i am upto speed then i will get 3d Dot game heroes and Yakuza 3 aswell.

However, I am dissapointed by it's score here. It at least deserved a 8.0.

I still say Majoras Mask was the best in the series.

I am getting it tomorrow.

Im getting it when the semester ends. School is killing me atm. Ive only been able to play FF13 for about 10 hours and I got it on release.

I got it and I really like it. I almost forgot how enjoyable old shool adventure games are.

i think for me the novelty would wear off after a few hours and id be left planing a 20 year old game with 20 year old gameplay which i really don't see the appeal of.

sure i REALLY enjoyed those games back in the day but i have no desire to play them now.

It's not out till the 13th where I live.

Well, I ordered it. My copy shipped from Gamestop today, so I'm looking forward to it.

I'm not getting it because I went to the store yesterday and the game is still yet to ship. It was supposed to arrive, but they said it never did. Then they said tomorrow, which would be today--so I'm hoping its there.

Picked it up yesterday after pre-ordering. I played through the first two dungeons last night and it's a great game. A loving homage to Zelda, a good bit of humor and fun gameplay.

I'm certainly getting it at some point.

Thanks for admitting that the devs ripped off Zelda.... it's funny how you unwittingly did so. Anyway... I'm not buying it, I'll save my money for games that aren't blatant rip-offs of others.

Nobody is arguing that. Homage is a better description of the game. Its pretty obvious the game was made by people that loved zelda and miss playing games of that vein.
