All I see in comments are people going crazy about the fps when all I care about is no loading screens and amazing detail. The game in question is Assassins Creed Unity. I'm excited about the game but all I hear is people shiteing on it. Really?!

Below 24fps means that the game isn't matching the "shutter speed" of a movie. That's more or less the bare minimum framerate for conveying fluid motion from frame to frame.

I consider games with framerates lower than that fairly unplayable. You can't gauge the motion of opponents properly and thus can't anticipate your moves. 30fps is a good clip for most game types. For fighting games, FPSes and intense action games like the Ninja Gaiden series it is more optimal to have 60fps for much more fluid reaction times to the action on the screen. For multiplayer FPSes, sky's the limit. The faster your framerate the better you can react and even have an advantage against people with lower frame rates.
