Which system is winning this gen?

Out of all the big gaming platforms, which do you think is winning this gen? If you vote, please explain in what categories and to what degree the system you chose is winning.

PS3! nuff said!..in terms of sales ( doing way better after the price cut we saw last year), terms of exclusives ( well everybody know its getting tons of them).

For me its given me one epic game after another and many other stuff too :)

PS3 is winning because that's the console I bought.

Probably the DS

PC in terms of games and sales.

Sales: Wii (duh)

Games: PS3 (my opinion)

I never thought I would see the day when the Wii has more votes than the 360 in a thread like this.

Profit wise PC gaming. Companies make more money selling games on the PC (digital sales, also you have to advertise less for PC games they advertise themselves)

Also COMBINE EVERY MMO SUBSCRIPTION and BLAMO.

Also we had the most games released for our system and the most execlusives.

360 is losing it imo, little by little its starting to fade away, i been noticing lots of noise more to wii and ps3 lately

Profit wise PC gaming. Companies make more money selling games on the PC (digital sales, also you have to advertise less for PC games they advertise themselves)

Also COMBINE EVERY MMO SUBSCRIPTION and BLAMO.

Technically, the wii is winning. However, Microsoft has already accomplished what they set out to do, and then some. All they wanted to do was steal away a portion of the gaming industry from the stranglehold that the PS2 held last gen. They never dreamed of being this close in sales to the PS3 when this gen started. Sony got arrogant and really dropped the ball. Microsoft has stolen away a HUGE portion of the gaming industry from Sony. Microsoft is now not just playing catch-up with Sony, they are an equal.

I think profits gained from digital sales (which remove a lot of labor/shipping ect) and MMO subscription fee's want a word with you.

Wow only one vote for 360? Surprising.

Personally I voted for the PS3. To me it's a better console in terms of hardware and games. Sales doesn't matter to me.

Definitely PC. So many awesome games have released for that system this generation, even if I skip the big budget exclusives there's countless indie games that I can play through. Not to mention the mods. Seriously, my backlog of PC games is so large right now I've taken a week off work to shorten it.

I voted ds, DS lite, and DSi...it has the sales, and games.

For me, I'd say the Wii.

But overall, most likely the PC.

IMO Ps3, the 360 was but it is slowing down in the quality a bit.

PC is winning in general but there is no competition with that. :P

I voted for the DS as it is a clear winner in terms of the following: SALES: 129 million is probably greater than the sales of the PS3, the Xbox 360 and the Wii put together. THIRD PARTY SUPPORT: The DS has unprecedented third party support for any machine. GAMES: The best library outside of the PC this gen, and a library that fast approaches SNES and PS2 levels of quality.charizard1605
