Halo 4-
The big FPS giant returns and with it comes a brand new dev team and a brand new engine, which means brand new ideas! Halo 4 is the start of a new Halo trilogy and promises to offer a robust campaign while still promising the saem great feature rich MP that keeps Halo fans coming back. Not many campaign details have been revealed yet, but the new engine looks very good for a 360 game.
Halo 4 is adding in new game play features, many of which are borrowed from other FPS games today, like a new killstreak reward system, fore runner vision, and of course Forge! Only downside so far is that fire fight has been removed. But everything else should please the fans! You can return to the fight on November 6, 2012 on the Xbox 360.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2-
The current FPS king on the market, BO2 is seeking to attract people who have begun to feel "burnt out" on the series from each installment to the next. BO2 is promising to make several game play changes, many of which have not been revealed yet. But there are talks about completely axing the class system, changing many MP features, and redoing the entire Killstreak system. The game is also boasting a strong campaing with 2 different time lines, one of which takes place during the 80's and the other which takes place during the future. Expect to see lot's of mechs. You can grab it on Nov 13, 2012 for all platforms.
Far Cry 3-
Far Cry 3 has a lot to prove, especially because it carries the burden of having two medicore previous installments in the series. But Far Cry 3 is looking to take a huge step ahead of that, it will feature a lengthy and rich SP experience that is promising strong writing and dialoge and is boasting stunning graphics and art style. The campaign centers around a classic "vacation party gone wrong" type of ordeal, with you and your friends getting into some serious trouble with a psychopath war lord who is out to kill you.
The game is offering free roam type game play with a strong element of survival, which the devs said they took inspiration from the last few chapters of the classic literary novel "Lord of the Flies". On top of this the game is promising a strong MP mode as well, with a great map maker (it is better than forge, sorry but it's true), classic game varaints like CTF, team death match ect....and some unique ones including a "hunt" mode where a small group of players tries to stay alive and survive against a larger group of other players that are hunting them down. Sounds intense!
It will also feature a 4 player co-op campaign, and the PS3 has been confirmed to be the superior verison because it has exclusive content :P (In all seriousness the 2 games will be identical just like almost every multiplat is). You can fight for your survival in a paradise gone to hell on December 4th, 2012 for PS3, 360, and PC. Possible Wii U release as well.
Personally Far Cry 3 has me the most intrigued, but I'm also liking Black Ops 2. So which one are you most excited about?
EDIT: I tried to post pictures for each game title, but glitch spot happened. I tried to make this thread balanced and kept my personal bias out of it, at least most of it anyway :P
