Nintendo & Sony are safer bets since they both will be focusing on content for their existing platforms. MS will split its time between Scorpio and content, the latter not necessarily buttressing the former since MS Publishing now includes PC. In other words, I don't see why I would be excited for MS hardware coming out of this event seeing as I already own a machine that will play the games they showcase, one that sports superior features.
Of the two, I'll go with Sony only because their track record is far greater than Nintendo's this generation with respect to PR (plus a direct doesn't come close to offering a comparable level of fanfare).
@Basinboy: I think your analysis is spot on!!! But here's to hoping Nintendo can surprise us somehow.
I'm going to go with Microsoft myself. Really looking forward to the Scorpio, Forza 7, and hopefully a surprise or two.
Nintendo in second place for me with hopefully some Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Mario Odyssey goodness.
@Archangel3371: I've been so out of the loop with Microsoft I don't even know what's happening. But I hear you on Forza and Scorpio. Here's to a good start!! Cheers!!
@ghosts4ever: I've always liked doom. Such a clever fps series. Rage would also be radically rad.
Sneaky feeling here: Bethesda. They seem to have a whole bunch of things in the works just dying to be announced.
I'm sure Sony will do fine, just hoping they don't announce a game like it's the nail in the coffin for Microsoft and then it won't release for years...lol. Shenmue, Final Fantasy VII, and so forth...
I'm excited for Nintendo as well, loving my Switch even though it's limited at the moment, I see great things in the future for it. ARMS got me more interested in the game than I thought it would...
And finally Microsoft, I voted for them to possibly have the best showing. They have a lot riding with the Scorpio and I feel they're going to make waves come E3...
Don't be surprised if Skyrim isn't the only Bethesda game announced for Switch ;) Zenimax looks at the Japanese market as a massive opportunity for their games. The western publishing industry in general is practically rallying around the Switch at this point for a growth market trojan horse. You would not believe how well-received the new Nintendo is by third party and Nintendo has also been making some real efforts to cultivate relationships this time around. HUGE reason why they are investing in having a unified online infrastructure this time around.
Hearing a lot of chatter that MS does NOT have bombshell game announcements to drop. So, if they have them, they've kept the cards ridiculously close to their chest. They are betting the house on power and graphics to win the day.
Sony is completely radio silent. Not a peep. Not a rumor. Nothing. It's actually a little creepy. Either they really don't have anything new this year and are phoning it home, or they are unleashing the lions. Can't even speculate which way the pendulum swings.
All 3 range from having good to decent to lame to downright stupid conferences from year to year so who knows? I'm definitely interested to see how all 3 go though. With Nintendo we have their first E3 for the Switch, Microsoft has the Scorpio, and Sony with their response to Nintendo's and MIcrosoft's new and exciting hardware.
The big 3 all have lots of potential.
MS has the most to prove and they know it.
Nintendo has been on a roll, but needs to keep the momentum going and (hopefully) they know it lol.
Sony doesn't need to do much of shit, but they should have plenty to show, both 1st and 3rd party.

I'm most interested in what Nintendo has cooking, but I believe Sony will have the best showing, even if it's a bunch of shit that won't come out for years lol.
I hope it's Nintendo since they are my favorite and I want them to keep their momentum going and get some exciting surprises from them, but them choosing to not do a live stage conference again this year (which is a very bad decision in my opinion) has lowered my expectations for them.
I predict it will objectively be Microsoft since they will be revealing a new console and after how much their botched reveal of the original Xbox One hurt them, they know that this is their second chance and first impressions are critical so they can't screw up the Scorpio reveal as well, so I expect them to pull out all the stops to make sure that they have a great show this year.
I think regardless of what Nintendo and Microsoft does, Sony will do their usual tactic of announcing games that have barely started development yet and as usual people will get excited over these ideas for games that are many years away and claim that Sony won.
Sony probably has the least amount of pressure on them of the big 3. Who knows if they'll have any surprises to show. They're being kind of quiet about E3. They announced quite a lot of games that are coming soon.
MS has to have a good E3. They'll show the Scorpio but will they reveal some new games?
Nintendo might have surprises up their sleeve good or bad. Its their style to surprise people with revealed games.
The unexpected? What kind of unexpected company?
June starts tomorrow.
I'm going for Nintendo, because I'm pretty sure Super Mario Odyssey will be the only game that really excites me this year.
How is Nintendo losing? Based on rumors and more details on games they have shown so far, it looks like the console will have stellar AAAE games to show.
Mario Odyssey
ARMS
Splatoon 2
Xenoblade 2
Fire Emblem Warriors
Breath of the wild story dlc
Smash Bros*
Shin Megami Tensei*
Mario RPG featuring Rabbids
Pokken Tournament*
???
@Ghost120x: it's really crazy. 8%?? Hahaha!!! I never even thought about Nintendo going single digits. But the polls are rarely wrong my friend. :|
@uninspiredcup: I knew you'd say that. :P.
Hopefully, the first public live demo for Project Scorpio running Forza Motorsport 7 or a tech demo to show Scorpio's power.
i think all of them stand a chance actually. Nintendo will surely rip out some awesome announcements and Sony is doing really well in general some exclusive games. even Microsoft surely has something epic to demonstrate the power of Scorpio and seal the deal with fans
Stop saying someone has the best E3. You have no grounds to assume anything you have been shown will deliver. Any game can suck or go through dev hell; or they game might take forever to come out; or be a complete fucking lie.
It was a fun thing to be invested in when we were kids, but people, it's non stop commercials. Get real.
I think Sony is the safest bet, they always deliver a lot in the game front which is what matters the most.
I really hope Nintendo delivers. They have a great product and they need to push it.
They should announce ports of Mario Maker and Smash Bros among new releases.
Not sure about Sony. I'm afraid they'll just show more of the same: A new FF7 video, a new GoW video, a new Uncharted video and show some Knack 2. Not really hyped for it, but I guess here we have the highest chances of a surprise.
Microsoft will probably be horrible again. They'll probably show a lot of the Scorpio.
Can't wait to laugh about Konami, Ubisoft and EA though.

That's a very cynical way of looking at it, and I doubt you are not looking forward to the upcoming E3, which is just days away now.
I look at E3 as a way to judge how healthy this industry is, as a platform to see new game announcements on and new and exciting things.
Do I like watching all that ho-hum and chest beating ? No I don't, so I don't want conferences anymore, I just check game trailers which are uploaded at the same time now and save me hours of my time.
Should we take what is being shown with a large grain of salt ? Yes of course we should, Watch Dogs is proof enough of that, and if that wasn't proof enough how about every single game being a game running on PCs that is presented as "This is reflective of console quality"
And how about the press wisen up a bit... How long do you need to be in this industry to still clap for iterative shit and stuff that is obviously overselling its graphics ?
You must be new to gaming since year after year, decade after decade. MS wins in a landslide every time and this E3 will be no diffy. :P

How the hell is Sony winning the poll? Microsoft has new hardware to show, Nintendo just launched hardware and has some exciting software to show( I hope). Sony has 0 momentum going into E3. Could they have a nice showing? Sure! But to expect them to have the best showing, with what Nintendo and Microsoft had going on is insane.
@goldenelementxl: Sony is currently doing great as far as exclusives and lots of great games coming out this year. Microsoft & Nintendo both have something to prove. Sony is the current leader of the pack. Why wouldn't they win?
I have no idea who is going to win, but I'll go Sony because of their gaming pedigree. Nintendo second because they are Nintendo, new hardware already out that should come with a few new surprise games. Bringing up the rear is MS because they don't have what the other 2 have, but they do have Scorpio.

Welcome to Sonyspot. Enjoy your stay.
I mean or the site just doesn't have shit taste?
I mean pizza tastes better than grass, I'm not a pizza fanboy though.

My thoughts, too.
I'm the least sure about MS, they've been doing all the right stuff lately -- excluding actual game development/promotion. Here's their chance to shine or fade.

You need a lot of space when your fans spend most of their time waiting :p
