Nintendo knows how to compliment their games. (Even if its toys r us distributing them.) It's no surprise they have the best handheld in the market.

Hmm, what game is "Amiibo" for? i understand amiibo is the toy characters but i have not seen any game like Skylanders...

Thats because they plan on Mass Producing them... Its not one of those $200, Hand Painted, Limited Collectors Edition type of Figure, you collect it and use it in game, They must be planning on making alot of them.

Not sure, I wish there was an Olimar one coming out with the others, but oh well. I'm still curious as to what they'll do overall, their Smash use is cool, but not really enticing either. For now I'll probably get one in a collector sense.

Sony might but Microsoft will do no such thing.... Their lazy asses are just going to Try and Secure Skylanders Exclusively for their Systems. Coming up with their own ideas is just not what Microsoft does.

I want Link and Samus Amiibos, though I really want them to come out with a Zero Suit Samus Amiibo, it'd also be cool if they came out with a Bayonetta Amiibo. I'm in no hurry to get one though, only games I know that'll make use of them are Super Smash Bros Wii U.

I'd get Link as he is my favorite Nintendo character but I don't have a Wii-U or 3DS.

What does an Amiibo do?

of the ones they've announced, I'm most interested in Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Little Mac. However, the Amiibo I want more than any other is Olimar of course. He may also be the most intricate/difficult one to make. Will they include the pikmin on the stand? That antenna on his helmet is really thin so how will they deal with that? Then there is the situation where he needs a clear bubble around his head meaning he'd be a multilayered figure.

They never explained exactly what they do, all I know is they are optional addition to augment your gaming experience. Gotta wait for more details...... In English.

Don't buy into this. While I have doubts it will happen, keep in mind that if this takes off it could end up as a form of dlc--Bayonetta 2 girl amiibo exclusive $12 character for smash bros?

Peach's bustline has sure become more pronounced over the past several years.

Marth, Link, Zelda, Samus and if they ever release them then Lucina, Ike, Toon Link, Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf and Shiek in that order.

Disney Infinity is already doing that. In addition to the already $15 Figures theres like about 100 $5 Power Discs that act as some sort of mod that Alters your Figure or Play Experience. And on top of that, They can Store Entire 6 Hour Games inside these special Game Discs (it looks like a Hex Shaped Casino Chip), so yeah, for the Ultimate collector thats well over $1000. :p.

And this isn't even their Final Form yet, Disney Infinity is planning on using this as a Platform for other developers to make Make Their own Games using Disney Resources, Ninja Theory and Studio Gobo have already made two of them. Yep, they plan on getting Paid on Both sides. I haven't seen this level of Greedy Ambition since Microsoft 1st started talking about their stupid cloud. Haha :)
