I wouldn't attempt the PS2 version if i were you, it might taint your opinion on the game, which would be a shame. The modded PC version makes it completely obsolete, then there's the control issue, on the PC version the framerate is fluid and the controls are solid (m/kb combo). Who knows how it'll play on the PS2 version.
As for the unmodded PC version, it depends on how much emphasis you're putting on either its cons or its pros.
Deus Ex cons & pros:
-Bad Graphics
-Bad AI
-Clunky FPS mechanics
-Laughable voice acting for most of the NPCs
+ multitude of ways to progress trough any given situation
+ excellent soundtrack
+ excellent story with a chunk of well known conspiracy theories woven in
+immersive cyber-punk atmosphere
All of its cons (minus the voice acting) are practically fixed with the mods in my signature. So if the cons are a big deal to you, add the mods that i have listed, and it'll solely depend on your taste.
Deus Ex was the only PC game my PC could run without flaws. The CD didn't work well though so I deleted it. I can't do probably any mods because my PC is so sh!tty. Thanks for the huge input, I read all of that. Gameplay decent enough? I kept getting lost in the statue/tower at the beginning.
