The updated graphics will get old fast, and the games will be more of the same. Wii U is a very deep and innovative gaming console, the new controller will let people experience things that they can't on any other console. While PS4 and 720 fight it out in 2nd place being HD Twins, Wii U (in first place) will continue to provide rich Nintendo experiences WHILE including the run-of-the-mill multiplatform title. It's the next PS2 ladies and gents, I'm calling it.
Its not just updated graphics....more power means much more bigger world, better AI, new physics in games that arent possible on current console.

No, look at Crysis. Crysis has no gameplay. The new Legend of Zelda may have been a let down, but the other ones were absolutely amazing. Plus, you just can't beat HD Pokemon on Wii U. There's a lot of stuff they can do with the gameplay, the AI and physics will get better but gameplay will be mostly be the same just like this gen and last gen. Compare PS2 to PS3, small difference. Compare Gamecube to Wii, and there's a much larger difference.

No, look at Crysis. Crysis has no gameplay. The new Legend of Zelda may have been a let down, but the other ones were absolutely amazing. Plus, you just can't beat HD Pokemon on Wii U. Even if all it could do is max out current games gen at 1080p (which is likely, as a minimum baseline), that's a good thing and more than the Wii-U hardware can do. The Wii-U will have a few great games for sure, just like the Wii. But hardware wise it will still be behind the "next gen" curve. Despite the early emphasis on "hardcore" games and 3rd party support, most likely in 2-3 years it will also be a ghost-town as far as major 3rd party games as the system fails to keep up with the real next gen consoles.

Powerful hardware will guarantee dev support for 6+ years, like happened with 360 and PS3 this gen. They just need to handle good graphics at 60fps, and the ability to play with a standard controller, for me to be a happy gamer.

1080p and maybe higher screen resolution. higher quality and more textures. good anti-aliasing and other filters. maybe tesselation. good draw distances. farther high levels of detail. better and more particles...etc
hopefully also less power consumption and way faster load times. who knows what else in regards to wireless options and networking.

absolutely nothing but another graphical overhaul , that provides nothing more then a 80 dollar to 90 dollar retail price range for its games and very expensive for developers and consumers alike , what an absurbed question you already know ms and sony are all about the horses , under their hood more then they are anything else l ook at xbox , the most powerful console of its gen and judging by ps3 sony will most likely want to compete with ms in these efforts ,
sadly both will not sell as much as wii u because there will b e minimal difference between ps4 ps3 720 and 360 i also guess microsoft will charge 70 for xbox live next gen sony will start charging 40 for theirs , yes i said it ,, its only a matter of time
