what will be your first next gen game you will be playing?

xbox and ps fans will laugh at me but the first ps5 game will be astro playroom just to feel the new features in the controller and its free with every console.

hoping for vr support for this game like the first one.

astrobot was my wow factor this gen. it was the best platform game i played in a long time.

moss and astrobot was my favorite vr games this gen.

next game was going to be kena bridge of spirits but it got delayed.

so either godfall or miles at launch. i always buy that one game that is not a cross gen game.

unless ratchet and clank comes in the launch window.

first series s or x game will be fable and gunk. when fable comes.

but we still don't know the ps5 secret launch game so this might change.

None of them look like killer app type stuff.

But of them, probably Resident Evil 8.

Probably Horizon Forbidden West ... a game still months away. Honestly there isn't anything interesting in the launch window.

Astro Playroom is the only response for PS5 users at the moment because we don't know what games will be available on day one. We don't even know what day one is yet but hopefully will tomorrow. What we do know is Astro will be installed on every PS5 that ships. Thus, it's the only choice.

As for other games, I'm hoping Outriders and AC Valhalla among others will be available day one.

@gifford38: No man.I will play the standard edition in my PC.My PC will need upgrade to play RE 8 also like 3070.I played RE 7 without vr as well.

It is safe to assume the base game will receive an upgrade as well, so the whole game will be on PS5

are you looking into vr on the pc? I would if I was getting the 3070. im sure its going to upgrade vr graphics as well.

it changed my gaming experience this gen for the psvr head set.

games in fps view is just so much better in vr now that i played them with it.

vr gave me that wow factor i have not had in a long time.

1st choice - Cyberpunk 2077 (if the next-gen patch is out)

2nd choice - Demon Souls Remake (if makes launch)

3rd choice - Spiderman MM (if those 2 don't make it)

4th choice - GodFall (if Spiderman gets delayed)

@gifford38: I really wanted to try out HL Alyx.SteamVR ready headset is kinda expensive for me , planning to get 3060 Ti ( If it releases) even as i can wait till RE 8 release next year. But I get it VR gameplay is very immersive,hoping I get to experience its awesomeness in future😊

Will probably be Gears of War Tactics for me if it comes out at launch.

Not sure what makes it 'next-gen', but it seems like an agreeable answer *shrug*

....because it's coming out on new consoles where the biggest improvement is that they went from spinning rust HDDs to SSDs? lol consoles. sorry had to.

What is even considered as next gen? CP2077 is current gen. I guess it'll be Demon's Souls since i am not buying the ps5 unless its a launch title.

Why isn't cyberpunk 2077 next gen? It looks like it was built for high end PC's and is just scaled down for everything else.

Well if cyberpunk 2077 gets patched for PS5/X-Series X I would consider that next gen. If cross-gen games that are patched don't count I don't think X-Series X even has a next gen only game at launch.

Stuff like flight simulator and gears tactics the new CoD and Assassin creed are also coming to the xb1/ps4 you'd have to go with stuff like Spiderman mm or god fall or something...

Spider-Man Miles Morales or Astro's Playroom. But I don't know when I'll get a PS5. Maybe tomorrow will help narrow things down a bit. I'll definitely want one before The Last of Us multiplayer or Horizon releases. I certainly don't want Spider-Man Miles Morales spoiled , but I might have to take the L on that one.

cyberpunk is a cross gen game sorry. the first next gen game will be medium (series x ) and what ever sony has at launch.

wish they started cyberpunk on a next gen dev kit first and not waste time on last gen machines.

cross gen games does not count as next gen only game. if the game can run on last gen gpu and cpu and hhd then its not taking advantage of next gen hardware.

yeah i praying they show hzd2 gameplay today. thats the game that is going to make our jaw drop.

did you play the first astrobot on vr? if not if you ever get a psvr or psvr2 you need to play it.

Well this is easy for me. Ratchet and Clank of course. (Forcing me to day 1 PS5)

I said if I get a new Ratchet and Clank they I will get a PS5 and they delivered so I pay. (Kind of sad as it is the only Ps5 game that even remotely interests me, but it is what it is.)

Cyberpunk if you wanna count that.

Cyberpunk 2077 on PC but really, its cross-gen but I'll say its gonna be Godfall since that's coming to PC besides just PS5, so I'll go with Godfall instead.

what about hzd2, demon souls, grand 7, or miles. you didn't like ps4 spiderman?

Spiderman is ok, but not at all interested in demon souls, grand 7 (I'm more the Mario Kart type), or hzd (I am really not much for ranged combat I'm the guy that plays Assassin's Creed games pure Melee.)

There will be other games that interest me at some point but for now it is just Ratchet and Clank. My gaming tastes really don't lean toward Playstation exclusives except Ratchet and Clank. That is my jam!
