What was your first console???

What was your first cnsole?  What game(s) did you get with it to start?

I'll go ahead and kick this off.  My first console was the original NES.  But it wasn;t the ordinary NES that most purchased.  We got our fairly early, when it was offered with a little robot.  Anyone remember the Nintendo robot?

The system came with the game Gyromite.  Gryromite was like mario bros. but it was about opening and closing pipes to get through levels.  The robot, some weird spinning discs, and an odd controller attachment would open the pipes for you.  After about 10 minutes, the robot was removed from the equation and never used again.  Here's a Picture:

I'm pretty sure we got Duck Hunt too, with the gun of course.  That was bomb, i loved Duck Hunt.

Anyway, my first console was the Mega Drive. I was an Amiga gamer before that. 

I took the pc route with machines better than the japanese ones.

After all my friends bought a Nintendo thing I went out a bought one also.  Had the 2 controllers the grey gun (I know they changed it to orange in later versions) w/Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt game pack.

Two ther NES game memories (there are many) are Contra and Excite Bike.

Anyone remember the code for Contra?  I think it was up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, b, a, select, start..... or somthing like that.  Contra was the bomb.

I always liked making my own tracks on Excite Bike.  I can still hear the sound effects.
