Neither at the momment. I haven't seen anything from FF13 that would warrant a purchase. Heck, with the late release date, I probably will lose all hope in the title by then.
If i could only have one,it would be for the Xbox. I'm a lazy gamer so the achievements would push me to play it, plus i like to talk to my friends whilst playing single players games and xbox live is good for that.
But, i'll get both 'cause i reckon the PS3 version will be better.
I probably won't be buying it, mainly for it's focus on superficial 'action-packed' role-playing rather than cohesive storytelling. (The most underappreciated aspect of RPG's from my point of view.) That said, if there was any platform I would buy it on, it would be the 360, simply because that seems like the platform of choice at the moment. I couldn't care less about graphical differences, no amount of jaggies can conceal its undoubtedly beautiful art design.
There probably going to end up being the same anyway, with the exception of a few differences such as disc swapping and the mandatory installion. The installation is a huge negative to me. But I'm willing to forget about that an just buy the PS3 version anyway. Like originally planned. Achievements and Trophies are probably going to be in both of them.
hmm, dont no, first i have to see what the differences are between the 2, not graphics but like if the 360 will have 2 discs, or dlc for one console only
Anyone that has both systems and buys it for the 360 is simply a fanboy. This is a PS3 game that is being ported to 360, there has been no development from day 1 on 360, nothing, nadda, zip.
I dont care what systems we are talking about, when a game comes out for 2 systems at the same time, you never buy it for the system its ported too, especially when the game is completely offline.
I don't own the 360 so I wont answer this question but the way I see it is gamers own both consoles, assuming they are FF fantasy fans then they would buy the PS3 version because then they could have both Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy Versus 13 on one system.

You're implying that the game has to be rebuilt on the ground up to be ported to another system, when that most certainly isn't the case. o_o
I think FF13 will run better on the PS3 because PS3 was the lead platform.
Blu-ray and Cell are gonna help it too.

Ill be buying mine for the ps3 just for the fact that it will be on one disc and also because its a franchise I grew up on using the ps2 controller and since the ps3 controller is just the same it is an easy pick.

but by the time FF13 is actually out i will more then likely have a PS3....but even so ill still get it on the 360 as i dont want to wait for the install to play it when i can just jump into the action on the 360. Yes you have to change disks but that only takes a moment.
I will get the PS3 version just like any other multiplatform game I bought, I prefer the PS3 because Im used to the controller and I think it is better for the next gen, 1 disk is more easier to keep unscratched than 4-5 disks if I decide to play it BC for next-gen.
I just hope they don't forget about the BC Sony for next-gen with their PS4 or whatever they wanna call it by then.
One thing is bothering me though is the release date of the damn game, I don't know why Square accepted the offer to delay the PS3 version until they finish the 360 version?? dammit, I guess money talks.
Well even if I had both systems, I'd still buy it on ps3 considering it's lead platform, being specially worked on first and most likely delivering excellent results graphically, and of course blu-ray for the convenience of 1 disc, as opposed to changing several discs. Also, if it's anything like RAGE, the blu-ray disc would enable a higher quality stream. Having Versus on the same system is also a plus, just getting the full compilation on one platform.
If Sony reduces the price on the PS3, maybe their market will get even bigger, but so far, I gotta go with the Xbox version if it doesn't get cheaper anytime soon.
Depends. If it comes out first on PS3 then I'll be buying the PS3 verion, but if they both come out at the same time then I'lll just look at what reviewers say.
Im going for the PS3 one, because thats the one they are working on first and then its getting ported to the 360(and who knows what could happen during that practice) plus as the voting says...I like it old school
