What titles are you hyping as sleeper hits for 2009? *56k means business*

There are plenty of titles that are hyped, that'll sell well, and they'll also score well -- but there are also titles which may come out of nowhere and really charm the pants off of gamers. Which titles do you think have the chance to do this?

My picks:

Edge of Twilight - An Epic cinematic steampunk fantasy with great production values and an awesome cast, including Mike Patton.

Dark Void - A vertical 3rd-person cover shooter that seamlessly blends air jetpack and ufo combat with on-foot combat. Developed by ex-Crimson Skies team.

Alpha Protocol - An Action/RPG that blends a Bourne-like premise with a Mass Effect-like conversation system.

Bayonetta - An action game with an incredibly deep and rewarding combat system. From the creator of Devil May Cry.

Risen - A brand new RPG from the creators of the Gothic franchise. And they're working really hard to make it a much more polished experience.

The Saboteur - Pandemic has failed twice this gen, but I have a good feeling about this artistic open world 3rd-person shooter/parkour title.

Well, maybe Techland will start working on that more instead of another Call of Juarez. We can only hope. I don't see that coming this year, though.

Ah yes, Borderlands has massive amounts of potential. And the new artstyle is incredibly appealing, too. I hope they pull it off. Btw, does Borderlands have single player? I've been wondering how the structure of the game is.

Edge of Twilight looks really good, I'm going to have to look into that.

Bayonetta and Alpha Protocol aren't sleeper hits, unless you're talking about outside system wars.

I'm talking overall, but I don't see them mentioned here as much as they should be, imho. But then again, multiplats are the stink.

Seriously though ..... they put out some cool trailers , it looks over the top in a good way , the graphics are great , and the gameplay is similar to Devil May Cry. Positive previews , mostly positives reactions , and positive hype. We can all expect this game to score in the 80% range. It's looking likethe must play action game of the fall for DMC , NG fans .... and possibly some newcomers to hardcore action games.

Edge Of Twilight looks pretty good, I hadn't even heard of it until just now. I'm not really interested in any of the others. Personally I think Bayonetta looks pretty bad, but maybe that's just my hatred of DMC4 talking :P.Silent-Hal

oh wow, i compleatly forgot about edge of twilight. they really have made a sweet looking game there my vote however goes to the sleepyest sleeper hit ever Starcraft 2 i mean, nobody knows about this game and they really should

Edge of Twilight looks pretty good and promising? When did this happen? I remember disregarding it as a low budget, mediocre looking PC-ish adventure game with a silly nonsense story that didn't appear to have much going for it. Guess the silly nonsense story is still there, but elsewhere things appear to have greatly evolved. The artstyle reminds me a bit of the elusive City of Metronome. Looks well-realized and surprisingly polished and detailed.

if Dark Void's jetpack to battle is as smooth as Warhawk's jetpack battles, that's gonna be a hella fun game. The preview seems to say it is, but you never know until you play it.

Death to Spies Moment of Truth - First one was an incredible game.

Alpha Protocol - I actually have this already reserved on PC on account that i loved KOTOR2 so much.

Little Kings Story - US release is still to come this month. One of the reasons I folded and bought a Wii this gen (I don't buy many consoles...). Game looks great.

Edge Of Twilight looks pretty cool. I love Mike Patton's voice (don't care for Faith No More or The Deftones though :P).

I hope Saboteur does good, I've been following it for years and I hope Pandemic finally delivers...man they had such a good lineup last gen and now..well, they're owned by EA and had two poor outputs :(DeadMagazines

You covered the ones I was going to mention. Namely, Dark Void, The Saboteur and Borderlands. I am also excited for Risen as well, hopefully it will creep up on us and be a solid RPG.

Battlefield 1943. And its coming next week :D

I'm guessing Aion: Tower of Eternity is going to be THE mmo for 2009.

Also, my second choice would be Dante's Inferno. They made the sleeper hit Dead Space.
