What is your favorite game by Platinum Games/Clover Studio?

Haven't finished Okami or Bayo though. And as for Okami, I have the version tainted by Ready at Dawn, so....

Vanquish, and that's about it. I do love that game, however.

Metal Gear Rising. I know Bayonetta 1 & 2 are superior on a mechanical level but I love that game's music and boss fights.

Another vote for Vanquish. Still my favourite TPS.

hard for me to say, I have to be their biggest hater. Their games always seems like something I would like, but I never end up liking them.

Haven't played korra. The top 4 I adore, with God Hand being beast in its own right, and Wonderful 101 being some cool ass shit. The first 9 I would argue are definitely good games at their worst, Anarchy Reigns is closer to just aight.

So many people wont have played Bayonetta 2, well I suppose even at GS a lot of people wont have a WiiU so the poll is not accurate.

Bayo, Vanquish and Okami are all classic. Probably pick Okami if just one.

Overall the original is a harder game, and does more significant shit to separate the difficulties. Normal to Hard has different enemy layouts, ditto when you move to Infinite Climax. 2nd and 3rd climax might as well be the same, except difficulty change. Bayonetta also has a better sense of build up, as the bosses are made memorable because of the stretches of gameplay in between them, and the game has a level of escalation. Bayonetta 2 in contrast peaks midway, and is way too frequent with the boss fights. A lot of them are fun, a lot of them are badass, but enough of them are straight push overs to the point where it has stretches where the game feels more like a boss rush as opposed to the action game that Bayo is. Bayonetta eventually ends up into OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FUCKING CRAZY, IM SO HYPED TERRITORY...bayonetta 2 doesn't even make an attempt to top that, it's just the same brand of crazy, to the point it recycles the ending of the original one.

And I'm not of the opinion that Platinum can't top themselves, post Bayonetta they went on to make the ending of Wonderful 101 (which is fucking amazing), and Senator Armstrong in Revengeance (who is fucking amazing). Also the original used fly me to the moon more often, the sequel doesn't use moon river enough. 2's objectively better in areas like the combat engine, weapon variety, enemy variety, and it doesn't have the lows of the original like the space harrier/motorcycle segments, but it's also less memorable, less creative overall. The original was a breath of fresh air, the sequel is just that, it's a sequel.

Between Bayonetta and Viewtiful Joe essentially. In the midst of Bayo 2 so it could change.

God Hand, loved all of the goofy bosses and cool fight moves you could create.

I've only played maybe a quarter of the games on that list, but I gotta go with Okami.

Seriously, it was just plain beautiful on the PS2. I came close to pulling the trigger so many times on the PS3 remaster, but it was always way too easy. I don't even remember dying (though I'm sure it happened a few times).

Okami. It seriously might be in my top 5 of all time.

Viewtiful Joe and Okami. Awesome games. Not a big fan of the others. I would really like to try Vanquish, though, but it never came to PC..

Bayonetta is my favorite of the games I've played on the list. Vanquish is maybe my favorite demo I've ever played, so it's one I hope to eventually get to.

Eh, they're all old hat, Scalebound will be where it's at. :P

Probably Okami. They seriously have an insane resume under their belt though.

All of them and if you don't like at least one. Then have fun with your movie/visual novel with 1% of gameplay and let the good game go to the people who like gameplay.

A lot of those games could have essentially been Capcom games, on Capcom budgets, with Capcom's art teams and marketing teams. Way to fucking go Capcom.

The Legend of Korra is the greatest game in the world, so probably that.

here's a darkhorse vote for wonderful 101. of all the titles listed (that i've played - five of em), W101 reached furthest outside-the-box for something truly new. and while it didnt hit 100% of its goals, i appreciated that reach.

that said, bayo 1/2 are both truly great games.
