none of the games on that list are in my top 10 RPG list. Actually not even top 20.

Anyway, as for best game on that list, I pick Never Winter Nights

I preferred Fallout over Fallout 2, actually. Nothing compares to getting your first taste of something that great.

Maybe you just weren't paying attention to it.

There have been many great WRPG's, but add another Planescape: Torment from me.

edit: It's called Planescape: Torment, not Planetscape Torrent. :P

The is a pic of diablo 2... but diablo 2 was good in its day (played it pretty recently and 1.10 has just changed it for the worse... uber tristram is pretty cool though)

Oh yeah, Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos is a little known RPG made by westwood back when they made top class stuff. Patrick Stewart does the voice of King Richard, thats how damn good it is.

Oh and wikipedia planescape: torment, it pretty much says it bombed in sales but was a massive success critically. i believe GS gave it a 9.0 but its in GSs list of greatest games of all time. (its also top of my list ;) )

I know, I hate that they always try to compare how "OMFG Beutifull teH StoRe is" And "Teh ChaRACTerZ" and "Sephiroth or whatever his name is, is supposedly the greatest character ever" Freakin Japanophiles.

Planescape Torment - Best ever WRPG Philmon

I'd have to choose Morrowind. followed by Kotor and Diablo II.

I'm sorry but KotOR is the only WRPG in that list i can respect, i enjoyed fable and got a lot of replay value out of it, and its a good looking game but its too easy, too short and fairly shallow. Hated how all characters ended up the same at the end, maxed out on everything.

I only played morrowind on the xbox, and im told its much better on the PC so i am probably too biased against it to rate it fairly, pretty much the same with oblivion. My biggest problem with morrowind and oblivion is that they are essentially single player MMORPGs.
