I'm probably gonna play Smash so I can pwn all the 12 years olds who just got it and ruin their Christmas. #mrgrinch
What about you, SW?

Sorry dude, we have a pretty similar thread posted already.
EDIT: Ah, the other thread's TC had less than 500 posts. Reopening this one, then.
Good god, does it never end?
Nope ^_-
I remember being this way about MGS3. At one point, some of my friends were actually trying to coordinate an intervention.
Good times.
Yeah, at this point I think I have 200 hours or more in this game, in just a little over a year...
@charizard1605: Oh, that's actually not too bad at all man. There are quite a few games I've sunk 150+ hours into, and usually over a shorter time span.

I never have this many hours in a game, outside of classic RTSs like Age of Empires, or Pokemon- so it's a bit nuts seeing how many hours I've played it (and how many times I've restarted it).

I think 200 hours is pretty reasonable for an RPG that you're really into. I spent about that much time with most of the FF games. Some of them just counting replays, but some of them on single plays.
But shit, even shorter games like Ninja Gaiden Black, MGS2, MGS3, Chaos Theory... hell even with games like SMB3, SMW, SotN, Super Metroid, etc.. I've probably racked up those kinds of hours over the years.
And don't even get me started on some of the multiplayer stuff, there are some games that have consumed almost 3,000 hours of my time lol.
I just started Chrono Cross.
Damn, that sounds like a plan. I haven't played it since it came out and I have a brand new copy sitting on a closet shelf. Been wanting to give it another run.

To be specific, I meant 200 hours this year lol. I have more on it from last year (plus more still from Persona 4 vanilla). It's obscene how much time I have clocked into this game, I just never get tired of it.
I'm still fully entrenched in Dragon Age Inquisition and still lots to get through. So that's pretty much my dance card for Christmas :)
Might play a little Assassin's Creed Unity. Got it cheap and the bugs seem to be fixed.
It's a decent enough game so far.
I bought a GBA SP and Pokemon Blue for my 6 year old cousin. I going to be with family and him, so... ( he never played video games in his life)...( ****, Mario w/e would have been the best, but I couldn't find anything in time)
im going to try and clear some of the backlog.
im currently playing child of light and torchlight 2. should get them finished soon enough.
after that im going to try and finish batman AA and get a good chunk of AC cleared in preparation for the new one next year. i just have to work up the courage to beat the crocodile guy....i hate things jumping out at me :S.

Awesome OP dude!! I LOL'd. I will be taking my mom to her brother's for dinner in Long Island. I'll play one of the few Steam games my laptop can run. Maybe Just cause or Hitman agent 47 that I got off steam for 3 dollars
A bit of everything:
Contra Hard Corps (Genesis)
Just found out about this one thanks to hardcoregaming101.net and yeah, recently I have gotten this thirst for old-school side-scroller action games ever since I beat Contra III with a friend a few days ago. Alisia Dragoon (Genesis)
Another run & gun game. Gunstar Heroes (Genesis)
Another side-scroller called Valis II for the PC Engine. Found about it thanks to hardcoregaming101.net (the best gaming website ever made). The gameplay is supposed to be classic 2D action with some power-ups ala Contra. The story is told through animated cut-scenes thanks to the space provided by the CD format. It's all Japanese but I might read a script later if what I see here seems interesting story wise (which I doubt).
Underrated gem that for some reason was never localized for America. Another run & gun game.
The 5 above I will beat them all today.
The 2 below I will beat them during the first week of Jan because they are long. Suikoden II's not that long though but Albert Odyssey is.
Suikoden II (PS1)
Shadowrun Dragonfall. Tried to play Dragon Age Inqu., but it was complete MMO level garbage filled with the typical ego, boosting, trite super serial save the world writing ('Oh, herald of Andraste, most glorious one who will save us all with his massive, throbbing manhood! Did we mention how amazing and special you truly are, glorious Herald of Andrrraaassteee!")
@Cloud_imperium my man! Grimrock 2 was insanely good.
The TV I game on will be used to play Christmas movies all day, so I'll be making a dent in Persona Q for a change.
I think i'll be giving No More Heroes another try tonight.
First time playing a couple of weeks ago, i was underwhelmed. The game felt unpolished, clunky. The camera didn't feel right, and the side-jobs sucked ass, to put it politely. But the combat was fun.. And it doesn't sit well with me to jump on the sequel before putting at least a couple of hours into the first one, and judge it based on a rock solid opinion.
So yep, i'll jump all in and give it a chance, stomaching all the bad parts of it to try and unravel the good stuff. Maybe there's something i'm missing.
