@hardwenzen: I preorder games that I want and know that I’ll enjoy. I haven’t been disappointed with a single game that I’ve preordered. Why would EA love me? I don’t really buy much of anything from them these days. Don’t think I’ve ever preordered anything from them either. 🤷‍♂️

Do i really need to explain to you why i mentioned EA? Companies like EA and Activision make a boatload of money from clueless people preordering, most of which BEFORE ANY GAMEPLAY WAS EVEN SHOWN. How is this ok? If you're not saving money on preordering a game, your preorder is completely pointless. You're just doing it because you can, and that's not a valid reason to preorder anything. You mention not being disappointed from your preorders as if its supposed to meant anything. I haven't been disappointed from buying every game at my local Walmart, but i was very disappointed about how BB delivered Elden Ring 4-5 days late (yes, i preordered it because of the steel case that came with the game when buying from BB, and didn't bother waiting five additional days, so i just went and bought the game on day one, and when the BB copy was delivered ages later, i had to waste time returning it).

Its like the gaming industry has rewired you to think that preordering is a good thing, and you should do it because the option is there🤷‍♂️

I preorder games that I know I want and will enjoy. I haven’t been disappointed in a preorder yet. I will continue to do so because I can and I want to. It’s just that simple.

You pre order what you can simply buy on day one like a normal person. Over the years, you were conditioned to preorder as soon as the preorders become available. You like the game or not it doesn't matter. You preorder something that doesn't need to be preordered. Let that sink in.

I buy it anytime in the future for initial retail price = I get the game as well.

I’m not “far gone” nor am I “conditioned”. I buy things based on how confident I am that I’ll enjoy it and I’ll use any and all options available to me as I see fit.

@hardwenzen: Actually, digital new games sometimes are cheaper on the sale than used physical games. I got a game, division 2, for about 4 dollars. On the Xbox Store. I also looked for Civilization VI as a physical game but it was just more expensive than the digital version on sale.

And a lot of the games are not even available as a disc. If they are only available as a digital download then the sale is a great way to get some of them at a cheap price.

Not to be an annoying Xbox fanboy or anything but Tetris Effect for 23 bucks is not worth it if you have game pass because it is available for game pass.

Unless you want to play it on the go. Then the switch version might be a fine purchase. Tetris Effect might be a game yo like to play on the go. anyway, i tried it out and i kind of liked it een though it felt like regular tetris in new package with all the weird sounds and graphics, but it was so much rumble in some Tetris Effect levels it was a bit ridiculous.

Picked up Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart at Best Buy on sale for $50 Canadian. That’s damn near half price.

I preordered splatoon 3 awhile ago but I might end up canceling it. I am not going to preorder anything else but I plan to buy hogwarts legacy and sonic frontiers later this year using my MS reward points. I don't have enough points to get both games yet but I will in about 3 months from now. Outside of that I have been playing nhl 22 on gamepass.

I recently got TMNT Shredder's Revenge and Pac-Man Museum +, both from Game Pass. I don't have anything pre-ordered yet, but I do intend to pre-order Pokemon Violet/Scarlett [on the Switch] tomorrow. The thing with Pokemon games is that you pretty much have to pre-order it, otherwise the game is going to be sold out and you won't get a copy for weeks, if not months.
