So I recently heard that VF5 will have no online?! That really stinks, I was actually considering buying this game. Im not big on fighters but I figure if it had online it will have pretty good replay value but now that I know there is NO online, Im not even thinking about renting this game! Uggghh why couldnt they make this game online. I hear it wont even be online for the 360 either, that really stinks!

Yeah it's a damn shame.   Why there are not more fighters with online is beyond me.    I bet the next Tekken doesn't have online either right.     Just stick a fork in the fighting game genre already, the ish is gettin stale.

No, they already confirmed that neither the PS3 or the 360 version will not have online because the lag would kill the whole fast paced fighting action feel of the game. And besides, they built VF5 from the ground up specifically for the PS3. The 360 is just going to be a port, I highly doubt they would put online in the Secondary Port version as opposed the PS3 version

Yeah let's hope for some online for the Xbox 360 version, I swear Sega can heat me up at times, they need to stop with the excuses, if it's baby game DOA4 can do it, so can they.

you cant seriously play vf5 (or other fighting games) seriously online. The timing is too precise. I admit, I would LOVE for it to be online, but it wouldnt work with serious fighting games. If you do practice mode and choose to show button pushes, it keeps up with each of you button presses to the .01

have you thought about online gaming getting stale? It seems like EVERY online shooter is the same and the just kinda throw it in because the masses demand it. Think about it.

They may have VF online (not just in the Japanese cabinets), but you'll first have to fix the internet.

That seems pretty weird to me.   Games running far higher visuals, with way more players and things moving in the background run very smooth online.   There are only 2 characters in fighting games, with minimal movement in the background, and you mean to tell me they can't pull that off?    Bullcrap.
