VF4 series didn't sell that well did it? It was hyped for being good, not for being a system mover.Articuno76
Could be a few reasons. You were there when VF3 changed to VF4 right? Either you missed that or you are looking at things far to superficially.
My instinct tells me it isn't selling well since it's been out in arcades for ages. Why pay for the console yet when you can play the game elsewhere for a much cheaper price?
However, I'd like to think (ie, probably not true) that people are finally getting sick of all these fighters that add nothing major with each new installment in the series.

[QUOTE="Articuno76"]VF4 series didn't sell that well did it? It was hyped for being good, not for being a system mover.kage_53Nope, VF4 sold about 1.7 million. VF5 sales will probably be weaker since it has no online and its a hardcore fighter. Is that including Evo?
VF is a very hardcore fighter. It's technical, and difficult. Therefore, it doesn't sell to the masses (idiots). It's also the reason why Ninja Gaiden didn't sell as well, because it was so damn hard.rykaziel
I blame it on the box art. Its really unappealing. You'd be disgusted by the amount of games that people buy just becuase the box art is cool. The people whouve played NG all loved it, dispite its difficulty.
