This game is allegedly 40 hours long. Bit logner than what I would want, but it is not as bad as some other games.

As for how I find time. I buy maybe one game a month. Sometimes I go through entire months without buying new games. Which means that an hour a day will eventually see me done in about a month, or in this case, a month and a week.

My problem is consistency. I probably get an hour a day now but I'll play 5 different games.. sometimes I play MP if I have a friend on. Just hard to dedicate to one rpg, typically get 30-50% in and I'm on another game.. gotta get better at just sticking with one

@sargentd: Ahh, I usually focus only on 1 or 2 games at a time. So I tend to finish after a month or 2. I totally understand your reasoning, and considering all the other stuff going on, I wouldnt recommend a game like this to you.

My daily schedule is

6 hours of sleep.
1 hour of daily commute to/from work.
8 hours of work
1 hour of cooking and cleaning
8 hours of doing whatever I please. This usually involves studying however.

My collector copy of this game arriving tomorrow, Ronin should be in 2 weeks and I am just 10 hours into FF7R2. I definitely fked my game playing time well lmao. Not to mention I still log in to Granblue everyday for few quests.

I was tempted to get the collector's edition, but I'm starting to run out of space for these things 🤣

This game took my totally off guard and by storm. I've been keeping an eye on it, but didn't think it would be anything to write home about. That said, after over 10 hours in the demo I'll say this, this is now and will be a front runner for my personal Game of the Year. A true goty candidate that will likely win some awards. If you like Fire Emblem and or Ogre Battle this is the game for you. Imagine Fire Emblem without the grid. Easy 9 out of 10 to this point for me, but I've barely scratched the surface of the game.

Insane month... Unicorn Overlord, Dragon's Dogma 2, Rise of the Ronin, Contra Operation Galuga, Crown Wars, MLB The Show 24 (with power creep reintroduced... thank god for that), Outlast Trials, Alone in the Dark, Snow Day, and Battlefront Collection... ugghh.. good problem to have though.

I've narrowed my list to Unicorn Overlord (which release in a handful of hours), Dragon's Dogma 2, Rise of the Ronin, and MLB the Show 24. If I can find a way to convince my wife I need Crown Wars I'll do that one as well 🤣... but it's the first on the cut list if not, and everything else follows behind that.

I still need to get King Arthur (edit: just remembered Contra as well)... crazy how close to nothing I care about releases for months and then it's always a certain month or two each year that take a look at my wallet and decide to have a word with it in the back alley behind the hibachi grill after a couple too many sakis.

To be frank it seems like a shit collectors edition tbh cause other than artbook we just getting playing cards and music CDs that I will never use. Only bought it cause I got some discount that I can redeem and due to the artbook I as love Vanillaware artstyle.

Atlus (the publisher) would like to bring the game to PC but it seems like the developer is not up to the task.

Been playing it this morning. Started a new save with new choices and everything. The game goes by so fast when you know exactly what to do. This time going for the most naive choices.

Ditched clive in favor of generic knights. Keeping my Jagen (Josef) for a while longer.

Game is still a bit easy even on expert, but I dont mind when the game is this much fun. Glad I cancelled my Dragon's Dogma 2 pre-order for this. Yes, that's right, I cancelled my Dragons Dogma 2 GOAT pre-order for a 60 dollar 2d ant game.

Picked up the game for Switch even tho I will mostly be playing ff7 lol. Gotta support good games!

Some like persona 4, I played almost exclusively for a year .

So I am just becoming much more selective with my purchases. It's not really the money.

It just takes time. Time needed for for work, family, wife, friends, hopefully kid soon as well.

Apparently, the last time Vanillaware developed anything for PC was almost 20 years ago. If Vanillaware can't handle it, can't Atlus/Sega just outsource the PC port?

@mesome713: Piracy isn't such a big issue on Steam. JRPGs nowadays sell very well on Steam.

@Jag85: What kind of numbers they pulling? How well did Unicorn Overlord sell?

@mesome713: An example would be Persona 5 Royal. VG Insights estimates that it sold nearly 2M on Steam. That's despite coming to PC five years after PlayStation.

Unicorn Overlord sold over 60,000 for Switch in Japan, but worldwide Switch numbers aren't known. Meanwhile, PlayTracker estimates the PlayStation and Xbox versions sold just over 200K worldwide. So across all consoles, we're looking at over 300K sold worldwide. That's a solid launch for a niche new IP, but could be higher with a Steam release.

@Jag85: You got a source for that number? Cause Persona 5 Royal hasnt sold 2m on any device. Not even on Sony. They even stated how they were disappointed with it Sony sales. Then later we saw it release to other devices.

Easily my Game of the Year to this point. 113 hours and 6 minutes to get 100% on expert and the platinum on PS5 and loved every minute of the game. Underrated at only an 8 even if it's not a perfect experience it's damn close.

@miquella: Agreed, PC is the market for strategy games. As good as the Switch is for these kind of games, they sell even better on PC.

Bought and beat the Switch version. Best game of the year so far.
