Ughh Halo infinite :(

I'm really trying to enjoy this game but I just can't! I was a huge fan of Halo up until Reach and god damn I can't believe the multiplayer can be this bland and boring. The maps are an absolute mess and so uninspired. Also it feels like I'm controlling an ODST instead of a spartan. I really want this game to be good because I need a reason not to buy a PS5 right now. I have full on buyers remorse with the XSX. It's great value for money with game pass being so cheap when using the 36 month gold conversion but there's nothing that really jumps out at me to play except for the Ninja Gaiden collection which isn't anything new

All i am gonna say about this so called game that is on my mind 24/7, is that compared to Ragnarok, it looks like shit. Literally garbage tier looking video game.

Halo stopped being awesome with Reach, and even then, the game wasn't on par with with the trilogy.

Halo is a really poor series these days, and i can tell MS doesn't know what to do with it when they began selling us armor colors for $10 a pop.

The update that came out the other day is quite good though.

Reach played well and looked awesome for 360 standards. Infinite gunplay/melee is outdated for 2021 standards and looks like garbage. Reach was better in every way.

It's incredible how this game keeps attracting new gamers. Truly the king.

I tried that yesterday and all I noticed was a new gamemode that was basically regular 4v4 so it's nothing good like Invasion in Reach was, for instance

Yeah, I can't get over how there's no lunging with the melee either. I remember when ODST came out and they slowed everything down and lowered your jump and melee range etc, but that made sense cause you're an ODST. Now it feels like I'm playing ODST but with Spartans and it's just not fun

I'm not a new gamer but I took a long hiatus. I've tried tons of multiplayer games on gamepass and even the free to play section and Infinite is by far the worst out of them all even after the update

Halo Reach is a dumpster fire as is Halo 3 ODST.

I don't care at all about online so I can judge based on that but Reach campaign is among my all time favourite games and Infinite has the best gameplay in the whole series by far.

CE to 4 are good campaigns but nothing amazing. 5 is horrible. ODST is a great idea but the execution isn't great.

Halo 4's campaign was abysmal. There were long levels where they just copy and pasted the same section 3 or 4 times like the one where you used a pelican to get to two different towers or one of the early ones before you escaped on a ghost. Also Prometheans were not fun at all to fight. Reach had a great campaign but worse multiplayer than the previous ones due to bloom, armour abilities that broke maps, and a worse ranking system. They remastered Ivory Tower from Halo 2 yet didn't take into account that jetpacks in Reach would completely break the map lol. The colour palettes used in forge world got tiring to look at as most maps were built in there so 6/10 times you would play on that ugly ass map.

Halo ODST had the best firefight/co-op mode

Reach, ODST or Halo 2 had the best campaign

Halo 1 was great but slightly worse than 2 in all areas

Halo 3 was also great but changing the BR to not having hitscan like it had in Halo 2 was a pain in the ass cause of lag

Halo 2 had the best multiplayer and campaign level design

Halo 4 was a dumpster fire with an ok story

Halo 5 had a terrible story but slightly better level design than Halo 4 and also better multiplayer than 4

Halo Infinite has the absolute worst multiplayer in the series but I haven't tried the campaign yet

Am I the only one who feels like Infinite would've been much better if it wasn't open world? I like the gameplay, it's classic simple Halo with some extra bells. But driving around on a big map and taking over 5 million outposts that look the same is a drag. Not sure Far Cry should be Halo's inspiration. Shooting bullet sponge bosses is also Destiny level of boring.

If Reach is a dumpter fire, Infinite the pyromania suffering psycho that started the dumpter fire.

All their weapons did is destroy H4 multiplayer.

@hardwenzen: It's possible, but I don't play nor care for multiplayer. But 4 is known for the solid campaign and bad multiplayer, so you might be right.

But that's the thing, since this is not a true open world game, they could've added a lot of variety into their objectives, but because 343i is a skilless bunch, all they did is copy pasted outposts just like what you'd see in much larger titles made by Ubishit. You're also fighting in the exact same looking environment (one biome lul) the whole game. Who does that? Varied environment is what's fun in an open world/sandbox game, and Infinite doesn't offer any of it.

Halo Infinite needs a visionary. A Steve Jobs. Someone who cares!
