The fact that they have repeated lied about upgrading their PC's, the fact that they hardly ever review PC games, the fact their their comments on the PC games that they DO review are complete bull****... Sorry but it is impossible to believe that they don't have a console bias.
:| What a garbage list. GT just goes off mainstream popularity, and ignores many of the true greats of FPS - STALKER, SS2, NoLF, JK2:JO, HL, Deus Ex are easy contenders on that list, and beat the utter crap out of CoD4, Goldeneye 007, Bioshock, Halo CE, Quake 4 and Doom 3.

Tell me about it. Hell I'm console biased and I see the issues in that list. Hell, Bioshock is a great game but how can you put Bioshock on a list of best FPS's and not have System Shock 2? Bioshock is just a dumbed down sequel of System Shock 2 in a different setting. If you want to honor Ken Levine's dystopian FPS games why not pick the best one? I know why, because the idiots making the list probably never played System Shock 2 since it was a PC game and isntead of investigating the matter they decided to go with the more popular mainstream game as opposed to the one that was truly ground-breaking.
And the disrespect they show Half-life is absurd, first of all the original should be on the list and Half-life 2 should be in the top 3.
Deus Ex should also be on the list. Perfect Dark could be on it, but I could understand it's exclusion since there are only 10 spots. If Metroid Prime is considered an FPS, then it should also be on it and near the top.
all they care about is multiplayer. and judging for the greatest games ever i think that comes in as a side consideration. multiplayer is fun but its not really a way to judge a games greatness.
edit: and i liked how they said counter strike then showed all CSS clips.
I also think Wolfenstein 3D gets way to much credit on most list of top FPS's. I know it was the first but so what. Body Harvest for the Nintendo 64 is argueably the first 3d free roaming game and yet GTA III get's the credit because it was the game that set the standard and made the genre what it is. Similarly the original Doom is the game that did that for FPS's. Another example is fighting games, Street Fighter II gets on the list for best fighting games and deservedly so because it made the genre what it is. You never see Karate Champ on those list. For some reason people can't grasp this concept with FPS's and they keep on putting Wolfenstein 3D high up on these lists. Wolfenstein was never that big of a game, it was never that important.
I think they left Deus Ex and Stalker out because they thought they were too much of RPG's and not pure FPS's.
Still, horrible list. No Far Cry, Perfect Dark or Soldier of Fortune, and Halo and Goldeneye were there. And the good ones on that list were in wrong order.
This list is terrible. Wheres system shock 2(way better than bioshock), dues ex, STALKER, um HL the original, FEAR, and MoH: Frontline. Almost forgot Farcry.
Games that should not be on that list - Bioshock, doom3, COD4,
anybody else notice how when they showed half life1, they showed the PS2 version?

this was a Console lover's perspective thats for sure.
No mention of any Battlefields while bragging about multiplayer ... absolutely pathetic.
I lol'd at "too bad there's no multiplayer" in reference to bioshock. And i lol'd even harder at no inclusion of Battlefield at all after making that complaint.
Then again... COD4 one of the best FPS games of all time? Please...

I do agree that HalO: CE is superior to HL2..and my agreements kind of end there.

Its because its on console. That simple really.
Yeah, but i still enjoyed HL2 more than any Halo game by quite a bit. But then again HL2 (or Orange Box if it counts) is my favourite game evah.
I'm usually into GT's top 10 lists, but this time they blew it bad. That was a horrible list. Doom 3 in particular has no place in any top 10 shooter list, and frankly neither does bioshock (presentation was great, but the actual shooter parts were blah, SS2 if anything should have been in it's place, or possibly Deus Ex).
