Titanfall gets Horde co-op mode and lots of other stuff

Effective today! Hopefully this will inject new life into it and galvanize it. Truth to be told, I've played Titanfall for 3 weeks regularly then only occasionally then I dumped it for good but lately I've been revisiting it and each time I got back was still fantastic.

Anyway, the details:

" Titanfall is getting what its developer is calling its"biggest update ever" tomorrow with the addition of an all new co-op mode, Respawn has announced viaTwitch.Dubbed Frontier Defense, this new addition to the shooter allows four players to team up to defend a "vital objective" from impending waves of enemies. So it's basically Horde Mode.Frontier Defense will feature all sorts of enemies - both old an new - including "Grunts and Spectres, stealthy Sniper Spectres and Cloak Drones, explosive Suicide Spectres and Nuclear Titans, ranged Mortar Titans, and even melee-resistant Arc Titans," according to theTitanfall blogTo counter these varied threats, you'll have new Loadout Crates near your objective, so you can customise your gear mid-game. Furthermore, downed players will respawn by flying in on a dropship and they can even shoot out the ship's doorway upon entering the fray.Another neat addition to Titanfall's impending eight update is Ranked Play. This isn't a separate mode, but rather a set of challenge tiers available across all standard competitive matches.Ranked Play will launch in beta form, which will last through October. After the beta, it will be available to all players level 32 or higher, and it will operate on a "season" model with each season beginning on the first of each month.Separate from Ranked Play will be a new three-star ranking system, which will reward players foracquiring a certain score on each map in each game mode. This will extend to Frontier Defense as well.You'll also be able to set Burn Card decks for everyone to start out with in Private matches. This should keep everything fair amongst your friends.A couple of other new game modes are coming as well. On 5th November we'll see Deadly Ground, a mode in which the floor is covered in an electric fog. Respawn has been doing a great job with updating the game and being transparent... too bad the game did lose its appeal somewhat fast.

Man it feels like that game was released over a year ago.... When it in fact released early this year lol.

Too bad i no longer have any interest in this game.

It's good that they are still updating but this feels like one last attempt to revive the patient before Advanced Warfare comes out.

Sounds good to me =) Titanfall's a great, fun game, it's only issue is it's totally starved for content.

Also they have fixed the bug where the game would freeze when someone joined server

Titanfall would still be relevant in the gaming landscape had it released on the PS4, unfortunately for them the juggernaut known as COD is only 13 days away.

Damn I need to renew my Gold sub, unfortunately I don't have funds for now. Anyone have any of those Gold trial codes? :P

I'll have to start playing it again to try out whats new. I love the game but starting to rage too much over it, so I gave it up haha.

Good. Horde mode is always a blast. Titanfall wouldn't be forgotten if they had stuff like this from the start.

I bet Demon's Souls pvp is more lively than Titanfall multiplayer is at this point lol

Gearing up for the holiday push. TitanGreatness is still a very fun game and great to jump in a couple of games every now and then.

Too bad it's about to get destroyed by Call of Duty

I love all the support Respawn gives this game. I will always own it for reasons like this.

Sounds good to me. I'll give it some more playing time for sure. Though, once the MC Collection comes out, i dont know how often i'll go back to it.
