The Wii is starting to stretch its muscles.(56k)

Ok let me start off by saying I KNOW its no where near the graphical power of the 360 and PS3 so any mentioning of that will fall on deaf ears. However, this thread is to prove that little Wii can show some beautiful games and still be really immersive.

no they are fine, the real problem is not enough games with good ideas for the wiimotekruesader

Well third parties for sure. Right now though Nintendo is owning in innovative ideas on how to use it.

All of those games look far better in motion, but I must say that for 480p res there very nice.

They all look great to me, the only problem is when will 3rd party developers start to match this ?

Well we've seen gameplay videos of all of these and they aren't made by Ubisoft so it's pretty safe to say these are in-game. Nintendo never makes fake screenshots.

First one is pretty good, the second one IS ugly though that may be more to do with IQ than any shortcoming of the game itself (and I strongly disagree with your comment there), third one is old and I never found is particularly impressive, fourth one is good but we'll see how they look in game (and god, that Zelda worship is horrible), last one I hate to say doesn't really impress me as much as even an old Mac educational game I played in elementary during the early 90s.

Those look last gen to me. Check out the BEST OF LAST GEN, they compete with those no problem.

They may look OKAY now, but they will be ugly in a few years, when our standards are fully immersed in NEXT GEN Graphics with our eyes to the future of NEXT-NEXT Gen Graphics!

Doesn't look bad.

I think the best games (both graphically and overall) will be from Nintendo, SMG being the standout. I wish Wii had better graphics though cause I'd love to see SMG with Ratchet (PS3) type graphics.

Unfortunately, I'm talking about the REAL world, the Big Picture here. Let me explain, since you don't get it :

High End Computer Games don't dictate the Mass Market'sPERCEPTION of what the Current Standards for Graphics are. You see, right now as we speak, many people are playing PS2, or own a GC or even an Xbox Still. When they see the Wii, they don't notice any graphical degredation as they already expect that current graphical fidelity. When the mass market are IMMERSED in what the hardcore gamers already know as the True Current Gen Graphics Bar (AKA PC, 360, PS3), that's when these shots won't look so pretty.

Why do I have to articulate such an easy point? I basically said this the first time!

BTW : Have over $110 in Wii VC Games, with no more Space to play games. Nintendo did make some mistakes with this hardware and it's bothersome (Yes, I know, I bought a 2 gig memory stick....but it's still annoying at all the shortcuts they took with the hardware. )

That's because it's not developed for HD Nintendo aren't in direct competition with Sony or MS, instead opted for remarkable gameplay which so far with the likes of Twilight Princess, Wario Ware, Super Paper Mario & RE4 have achieved.

The only unique title you have, built for the Wii, on your list is Warioware. I point this out simply because you're better off getting this pointed out by someone who isn't going to attach some huge negative value judgment or steer the topic into a gutter with it.

In any case, the graphics are what they are - it's not just resolution that's the limiting issue - system power plays into this as well. For what's it worth, Nintendo has improved their level of detail in Brawl - which is appreciable.

Those audiences looks kinda flat.

To me Smash Bros really isn't that impressive graphically, in fact it looks quite weak. The Metroid screens aren't too great but the Metroid Prime series has always looked bad in screens but great in motion.

Mario Galaxy does look pretty good though.

I bought the Wii for multiple reasons, the first being that I've bought every Nintendo home console, and really enjoyed every single one of them. My second reason is that I wanted a unique way of playing, my 360 would be able to take care of the graphics (and once I get my new PC I'll be using that too...).

I'm looking forward to every Wii game here, and they all look great!
