Sorry but he is right. PC's are ok for these if you have a good controller and only want to play single player. None of my friends would play sports games on PC when they come over cause they would rather sit infront of the TV with a controller. makes sense.
To expensive, to many cheaters/hackers online, and no where near as good multiplayer offline... Consoles are just "easier" which is why they will win. PC has not a hope in the world

Actually it's cheaper than its ever been, programs like punkbuster and VAC make cheating/hacking almost non existant on secure servers (which there are ALOT), and LANs are still very popular

Makes sense to you doesn't change the fact that the PC gets a lot of well rated sports games that more often than not you can play online or over a network. Just because something doesn't do it for you and your freinds doesn't change its popularity outside of your small circle.

PC parts gets cheaper all the time (Recent example--4GB DDR2-800 for $100. Honest.). Stick to legit servers and you'll find plenty of anti-cheat mechanisms (Valve Anti-Cheat, Punkbuster, etc.). And why do you think offline multiplayer is better than online multiplayer with its much wider audience?

it's almost like pc is not directly involved in the "system wars" even though it is still counted as a contender...see the thing is that there is no way to count how many pc sales are sold for gaming purposes...thats why you never see pc hardware sales here at GS. the only things that are ever counted are pc software (games) sales... so in conclusion, it is somewhat difficult to place the pc in the system wars as far as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place goes.... hence why you usually just hear about the wii,ps3, and 360 between 1st and 3rd place... i like pc, but i personally dont count it directly as competition to the consoles... the pc sorta reminds me of an unknown star quarterback who is benched until he is given his shot for awhile and then retires... only for another star quarterback to rise from the bench after a few years... the consoles remind of star quarterbacks who are known from the get go
