Now that we're 1 day from Halo 4's launch (plus the game having been leaked) it's time to set up a thread for story discussion where anything goes, including spoilers. So yeah, if you should know what you're getting into when coming into this thread.

This is also to say this is the only topic permitted outside the sticky for the express purpose of keeping spoilers out of there.

So what do you guys think about 343 showing Chief's face in the legendary epilogue?

I thought it was a pretty nifty reveal.

Master chief was turned into a forerunner. That's why he survived the blast. Didn't you see his eyes.

Wait, why did he survive the nuke? And how did Cortana manage to save him? It was all very space-magicky to me. Honestly reminded me a lot of Mass Effect 3's ending.

I thought it was kind of sad how they killed off Cortana, yet it opens more questions that could be answered in later games.

Is it really true that you see MC's face in the legendary ending? I've only beaten on normal.
