Tbh Halo Infinite felt like the early Halo games to me. Iv only played 1/2/3 and Infinite though. Oh and the crap one where you dont play as that chief guy.

Haze to me is a guilty pleasure for me on PS3, it had potential, but Ubisoft sabotage the game so badly. Free Radical is also fault as well but overall, Ubisoft did them dirty for signed an exclusivity deal behind their backs.

Truth be told, I can't even replay it today's tech/standards as it aged very badly. If there's a petition for a remake, I'd be happy to sign the papers lol.

Felt like the early halo games, but with no content and where they charge $10 to change your color.

@davillain: I would totally be down for someone to take another swing at it. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough, but in FPS boom days of PS3/360, there were tons of interesting ideas, but only a few landed. There were crazy weapons, super drugs, time-shifting, terrain deformation, etc. Now it's grappling hook and normal guns that fire like lasers.

343 makes Halo games that are ashamed to be a Halo game. The Halo elements that are included feel like they are done so begrudgingly and that 343 always has a better idea to reduce how many of those elements manage to return.

Multi-player launched without a dedicated team slayer playlist... Just think about that for a few minutes and how it was a fight to get 343 to add one in because they didn't want to pull people away from objective based modes and didn't build a system (supposedly) to handle such a playlist.

That's really all that needs to be said about why the franchise is in the state it is and how badly 343 has been mishandling this whole IP since they were given control.

Looks like they can't even handle tournaments at this point. Holy shit this company.

Only Halo I have ever played is the campaign in Infinite. I thought it was a lot of fun! All this hate seems a bit exaggerated to me. Doubt previous games were that much better 🤷🏻‍♂️.

That's not really why they get hate.

343 has been nothing but slow and bad since they started. MCC was a trainwreck that couldn't even be played at all for a long time. Halo Infinite had many, many delays, the MP was half-assed, there's still no co-op (which is a staple of the Halo series) years after launch. They canceled split screen co-op that they earlier promised was coming (another staple of the Halo series). Why? Probably because it was hard for them to do. Aka, they suck.

Working and fun campaign aside, all other aspects of the game has been terrible. Doubt previous games were that much better? Well, it's in the eye of the beholder. To me, a game released when it was supposed to release, with all the content it was supposed to have on release is way the **** better than Halo Infninte.

They literally lied and sold you skins for $20. Also charged $10 to change the color of your armor. Who does that? I will tell you whom, mobile games aimed at the Chinese market😆😆😆

I played the Halo infinite campaign and thought it was excellent.

@girlusocrazy: The one I thaught was complete crap? I think it was Reach. Im not a terribly big fan of Halo TBH. I enjoyed CE somewhat but didnt like 2 much. Halo 3 was okish. I know ts not saying much considering my lack of enthusiam for Halo, but Infinite is probably my favoroute Halo game out of those iv played.

I never played Halo for multiplayer though, I was probably too busy being addicted to Everquest or still into UT and Q3A at the time Halo multiplayer started being popular, so my opinion of those games is of the single player experience, though I remember trying Halo multiplayer for about an hour and didnt like how slow it felt to play compared to the multiplayer games I played a lot of like UT/Q3A/Tribes2/TFC.

Ok so if the problems are mostly MP related I wouldn't know about them. I'm sure there are things to criticize in that area. The things you mention for example. At the same time, I don't think it's fair to portrait 343 as totally incompetent (I'm not saying you did, but that is the vibe I get from OP). If they were they would not have been able to put together the game they did.

I'm really looking forward to the day when it's revealed what really happened behind the scenes. Has Microsoft pulled funding since the game released? Are the employees just completely inept? Is it the short contract times that have been mentioned in the past?
