The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Okami?

Well, I've heard that Okami is a better game than Twilight Princess, and I find that hard to believe, especially when Twilight Princess got better reviews. Okami looks like an excellent game, though, and I can't wait to play it on the Wii sometime in late March 2008.

So I just wanted to hear from you guys. What is the best overall game?

I don't know. I only played Twilight Princess. (Which I was somewhat dissipointed with).

I'm looking forward to playing Okami when the Wii port is released.

Twilight Princess was a huge letdown. Okami was just breathtaking

I played both of them back to back. By that I mean, I played 80 or so hours on TP, and then 80 or so on Okami. That was fantastic by the way.

Anyway, Okami is without a doubt, the better game. It's quite surprising that a mimic actually surpassed the original, but they did it.

March 25, 2008... Two days after Easter. March 2008 is shaping up to be one heck of a month. There's at least five games I want during that month for Wii and PS2 that I will probably get.

I read this quote once made about Okami, "And the payoff, if you've ever seen a screenshot, is both obvious and unbelievable. I say that because most development studios could probably sacrifice their employees' children on an altar to Satan and still be miles away from the visual fantasia that flows, blooms and glows in each and every frame of Okami."

I loved that quote. I don't remember the source now, unfortunately. Maybe it was IGN that had it in their review. I'm sure someone could find it.

I hate it when someone says exactly what I was gonna say before I say it.:( But yeah, you're totally right. If I had my way, I'd be able to fuse the two of them, thus creating the perfect adventure game. (for me, anyway)

Okami is great, but it get's less and less fun as you go threw the game, instead of becoming more fun... Which is kind of bad.

I unfortunatly had to miss okami when it came out on the ps2, thanks to my budget. So, i'll let you know after it's released on the wii.

But, i will say one thing.. twilight princess recieves a lot of hate on this forum, so i don't expect the poll to go in favor of zelda.

but yeah...sometimes I do feel that the game gets more hate than it deserves.

I can understand why some people would be disappointed, especially if you were expecting something new....but there is no denying the polish of the game itself.

Actually they are currently eating up Blu Ray movies.

Okami was more original even though it did take alot from Zelda.

TP was an overall better game. But by Zelda standards it sucked. Okami was more refreshing.

IF you are a Zelda fan and played almost all the zeldas you will be more satisfied by Okami because TP was such a letdown.

I kind of agree. TP is "Zelda perfected". Okami is a Zelda clone that has enough originality to make it a great experience. As far as gameplay goes Zelda blows Okami out of the water...It's not even close. It's a much deeper experience.

in saying that, okami is still the only game ever made that has almost out zeldad zelda.....it is a stonkingly good game. i know ill be getting both. i played the first few hours on the PS2 but decided to give it to a mate and wait for the wii version. right now okami wii is my next game purchase. absolute top priority.

Dude, you're asking the wrong question. It's which one to get first, not that or this game. Get both.

So which one to get first? Now that's the hard question. I've completed TP but haven't played Okami. If you're very familiar with Zelda-type gameplay, then go TP first then Okami. If you're new to Zelda and Okami, which ever order is fine. Simply put, the freshness of Okami may make TP taste stale if you've played OoT, MM, WW.

Okami Wii is your next purchase? Don't tell me you are aren't getting Super Smash Brothers Brawl with in the first week!

While Twilight Princess was an amazing game, Okami beats it out. Okami has incredible art style, unique new game mechanics, awesome story (which can be hillariously funny at times), and hours upon hours of gameplay (much more than Twilight Princess).

I was disappointed in Zelda. Can I suggest Zack and Wiki?
It is a really fun game I just picked up.

If not go Okami, I'm very sad Capcom closed their Clover division. They made great games.
