So it seems tha all the major sites collaborate on what stories to print and not to print and what to release. This is what GanerGate has been all about. This is really bad, they have their own group to talk what to post and now. It shows how bad it has gotten

Didn't some university or something analyze the standards of a place like kotaku and found them to be less than that of tabloids

It's almost like they where deliberately putting up as many destiny articles as possible.

strictly speaking I am unsure if they are considered a "news site" they do bring news, but it s not the focus.

As to the Whole, the biggest news sites, kept very quiet about this Whole mess (GS, IGN, GT, Eurogamer) while it was often smaller sites that went on with clickbait.

In a way I am fairly sure part of it was to get a huge influx of angry clickers for revenue. I know it sounds horrible, but I am fairly certain.
