Look at Ni No Kuni? which sold over 150k in it's first month and 50k the next month.. usa alone, or tales of xillia? or final fantasy 13 which sold much better on the ps3 in the west, and final fantasy 13-2 also.
I'm not trying to bring up an argument, but ps3 fans buy jrpg's more then xbox fans, the sales numbers are there to prove it,
So you aren't going to look up lifetime sales numbers and compare? Just still basing your argument off assumptions I see.
Sure, Final Fantasy sold more on PS3 than Xbox. That's a given considering Final Fantasy is a huge Playstation brand (and was assumed exclusive to the PS3 for the longest time).
But if your argument is based on first month sales of games releasing on platforms with WILDLY different userbase numbers (at the time of different game releases) then your argument fails.
You should actually compare LIFETIME sales. Don't compare first month sales of games on a platform with 27 million users to first month sales of games on a platform with 12 million users.
Compare LIFETIME. Vesperia did not stop selling after September 2008. I can assure you that. Heck, we could even breakdown the numbers.
12 million Xbox owners when Tales of Vesperia released. Sold 70k in 35 days or about 2,000 per day.
27 million PS3 owners when Tales of Xillia released. Sold 100k in 24 days, or about 4,166 per day
27/12 = 2.25 PS3s for every 1 Xbox 360 at the time of each games' release
4166/2000 = 2.083 Tales of Xillia copies sold for every 1 copy of Tales of Vesperia.
So Tales of Vesperia actually sold at a FASTER rate given the amount of potential buyers, and it's had 5 years more time on the market.
This is why it's so stupid of you to compare first month sales data of games releasing on consoles with wildly different userbase numbers.
