This latest version provides access to the new Shopping experience, full Hangar interactivity from within the game client via new options and the Port Modification App. In addition, Cloud Imperium has made many changes to Crusader and Port Olisar including the implementation of new missions, Alpha Currency and Defender reputation. For a game that supposedly takes advantage of the highest end PC rigs out there I'm not impressed. There are definitely games that hold their own in the graphics department on consoles with significantly less horsepower.

It looks great but not mind-blowing.....this category belongs to BF1, Battlefront and Star Citizen.

Then what does impress you?

This is not about power of platforms, this is about which game nails it the best in graphics department.

I agree. Visually, it's not even nice looking.

Long way to go yet, it doesn't even have AA and the lighting system hasn't been fully implemented and that's just scratching the surface.

The amount of detail in the world is absolutely astounding. However, at the current moment, the game's renderer is still inconsistent. I am hoping that it starts receiving some polishing soon in addition to all of the optimization work they are doing.

The scale though.... There are no loading screens or transitions from inside the space station to inside a ship to another star system into another space station and so on. The lighting and shadows haven't fully been implemented and there is no AA either and yet it looks as good as it does. There are ships with interiors as big as entire FPS levels and there can be multiple kinds/numbers of those ships in one system at a time occupying the same space as multiple planets and space stations that are also huge and detailed. That's where all the horsepower is going. That's a lot to render at once.

When is it going to be released?

These are just from the Online Universe, the real graphics pushing tech will be seen mostly in the Single Player campaign, only in that one they will not have to worry about performance of multiplayer gameplay. Expect something like this standard or better:

Nothing impressive really, quite a few games easily look better like god of war, horizon, uc4, Detroit and even bf1. Sc needs better lighting

I wish they would have stuck with something simple but fun, it really looks like they are trying to do too much. I would like to be wrong.

By the looks of it Crysis 3 still beats it but I know SC can look much better.

Looks above anything on consoles (duh) especially considering the scope, but I'm not sure if it will top out the current graphics kings (Bood and Wine/Battle Front maxed), and the near guaranteed future gfx king BF1 maxed.

And lol at anyone mentioning Horizon, that doesn't even top maxed out vanilla Witcher 3. Stop with the bullshit. The only console titles that will come close are short linear button prompter face simulators, and even those end up falling short overall (UC4).

I'm not impressed with the fact that this is the best that can be made with the highest end PC rig. Either the dev making this game isn't as talented as others or PC hardware needs to advance even further for us to see a huge disparity between visuals on consoles vs PC's.

Looks like it on the same level as Halo 5.

Star Citizen does look pretty amazing in parts but I wouldn't have counted any of the parts in those screenshots. When I'm EVA-ing and returning to the cockpit of my M50, with it's insanely detailed paint and reflections, it's absolutely astounding.

Looking great. I really need to get back into this game. I love cruising around the galaxy.

I don't know of any flight/space sim that looks that good. A flight sim in which you can walk around through the aircraft like that. With destruction like that. Having the player character walking on a little map on a single planet is childs play compared to this. But the visuals are not the reason I'm hyped.

The graphics are good, shame the animation does not match. It looks like one of those MMO games.

I'm only really interested in the space combat anyway, the other stuff is just filler by the looks of it. I hope they don't force us to use first person to walk around a space station, looks like it could get old fast.

Well, i said "future" , it's in Alpha stage and this is impressive for a game at this stage.
