Im loving the way super smash bros brawl is goin. From new items to the 4 ways of play.
Today pics of fox were released. Im all for the way he looks.
Thoughts on the way the game is goin??

I'm hoping I won't have to buy a "classic controller" to play it. I don't think a Wii-mote would work well with fighters, even for fighters like Super Button Mash Bros. majadamusYou should use a GC controller to play it, and if you think you can be successful in Smash Bros. with button mashing, you do not know the game that well.

Tail looks pretty blocky there. Finally we see some screens that look like a real representation of the graphics at least though. Notice the awesome ground texture and bitmap sky. Blow those up to 720x480 and tell me it still looks great.

That's right! It's NOT a PS3 game! No wonder the textures and backgrounds aren't high def! Good job in figuring that one out. Any other wonderful insights? :|
This game is starting to look amazing...
I can't wait for it any longer.

I hope you mean it looks amazing to play.
because I've seen PS2 fighters with better graphics.
It definitely doesn't look bad. The only sad part is the tens of ugly games on the Wii right now.
I hope you get something that doesn't hurt your eyes soon, Wii owners, and this looks like it will do it. Ignore the guy above me, that's an extreme close up on a traditionally zoomed-out third-person game, and it looks great regardless.
It looks great, it's definitely an improvement over last gen graphically.
I remember there was a thread some time ago about how the Wii wasn't capable of outputting SSBB graphics - @ that.

No. :|
it would not stand out if it were on any of the lst gen systems.
DOAU and Tekken 5 both look better than this.

720x480 is 480p or "Extended Definition". Wii is incapable of HD anything.
Point is, people keep saying it's looking better, but if you look at older "screens" compared to these new ones, you can clearly see that it's not. It's starting to look more like the real output you'll be getting from this game.

Ya, I haven't been really following this game. The last two Super Button Mash Bros.'s dissapointed me. I at least give em a try because the games get so much hype. I usually rent and then forget about Super Button Mash Bros. until the next generation.

It's starting to look amazing... let me break it down
- before the game looked good graphically
- It's a great improvement over Melee graphically
- It's beginning to look amazing graphically
- The stages look really nice.... graphically
It looks like it'll be fun to play as well, any questions?

Sure it looks better than Melee. But is that saying much really? That game would have looked like a decent Dreamcast game.
Have you even seen any fighters on Xbox or PS2? You must not have to be calling this "amazing".
It is most certainly not amzing looking.
Please sheep stop hyping Wii games graphics. You are only hurting yourselves.

it would be hard to notice those little blocky things in game. It's like the gooey bomb:the middle would look more circular in game
Cant say i see a real difference. Only thing i see is that the second pic has some fuzzyness to it .

in Super Smash Bros. you just gotta mash at the right time.
Bansheesdie
How would button mashing help?
If you fall off the edge you need to do the correct moves to get back, button mashing would make you die.
Have you even played it?
Your Halo avatar suggest you like button mashers.
Mashing the jump and fire button = win online in Halo.
See i can be silly aswell.
I'm just surprised that this game gets as much attention as it does. I guess it's just because I'm not a huge fan of fighters.MikeE21286
Characters from different universes collide into one, that's why it gets so much attention. It's a geek's dream come true. It's one reason I keep giving Super Button Mash Bros. a chance.

Why would you button mash if you fell of an edge?
If your playing Fox, for example, all you have to do either his lighting dash, or flaming thing then your up. If you want fire his blaster, you need to mash the hell out of that B button. To do his continuous kicks you need to mash the hell out of A. See a pattern here?

The term "mashing" implies that the player is simply hitting the attack buttons without any real sense of direction or strategy. In Super Smash Bros. though, there is a much bigger emphasis on precise movement and jumping rather than outright attacking and blocking. It's why the environments are structured the way they are. It's almost like Halo in a way -- some argue that all you do is hammer the right trigger, but really you have to obey the golden three things to stay alive: weapons, grenades and melee. Super Smash Bros. is the similar: it's about jumping, grabbing and attacking.

No you are one because you think it looks AMAZING.
Your mind must have absolutly EXPLODED when soul calibur for DC came out at launch.

You can use a GC controller. And button mashers don't stand a chance against skilled players; you obviously don't know the game very well.

Mmmk, believe it not though, I've been playing Super Smash Bros. longer then Halo. Basically because Super Smash Bros. was on the N64, which was before the Xbox.

Who cares where they were taken from, because even if they were from SC, they were improved upon.
