Spore comes out in 3 weeks. No hype?

I haven't seen any hype at all for this game lately. It comes out on September 5th!

It seems like a great game, but, its just an advancement on a sims game it seems.

Thats why I'm not too excited, its just another game I'll get in the future. =)

It'll score much higher than that for sure.

To be honest I'm not that excited myself. It's the kind of game I don't care about until the day it actually comes out. Then I play it and love it. (the sims)

I don't see why it shouldn't get a 10, but this is GameSpot reviewing a PC game, so who knows? They seems to knock scores down on PC for no good reason.

I mean, look at the WiC review: Nothing bad AT ALL to say and still docked .5 points.

I mean, both consoles 10's had comments in the bad section and still got 10's, yet WiC has nothing bad in the Bad section and gets a 9.5, so who the hell knows?

Edit: I'm not saying it will be a bad game, it just looks as if it will be familiar. I'm not entitled to my opinion?

I don't know why I can't get excited about this game, probably because it's one of those you actually have to play to appreciate.EmperorSupreme

i cant get excited simply because there are so many other amazing pc games coming out this year.I will still buy spore, i know it will be amazing, i predict a massive critical success as well as massive sales over the next few years.

To get a 10 the game must have a large casual appeal as well.

I'm still stumped about MGS4 though.

spore doesn't need hype.

If you don't know what spore is you deserve to be shot as a gamer.

the spore creature editor alone sold 2.5 million....if a paid demo can sell that much, its pretty obvious the full game has a lot of hype...especially given that Will Wrights monthly estimates were blown away in only a matter of hours.cobrax75

well, we hype them, but we keep the showing of hype to a minimum, unlike the console fanboys, it keeps the 'pc sux' stuff to a minimum and we can say 'oh snap look at this huge game we didnt even hype'

the 'demo' is just the creature creator from the game so people can make creatures to populate the game when it is released, there isnt any 'gameplay' aside from the testrun area, the rest is just building creatures....

but to answer your questin: yes, yes it is that good

Its been hyped for such a long time there nothing left to say until we get it. I want it real bad but its already installed in my system that im going to get it no matter what so I don't even need to hype it. Cant wait for it, id love too see it get a 10/10 - a truly innovative game, next to two other games that wernt very innovative at all.

Still the whole standards thing will kick in, and im sure some flaws will be found without the massive hype train to overshadow issues, that the other two 10 scoring games got.

So ultimatley i think it'll get a 9.0 or 9.5
