Fall in line, cows. It's over.

He's one of Nintendo's biggest fans. He even owns 2 Wii U consoles and he posts on Miiverse. Its a shame that others don't follow his example and have a open mind when it comes to video games.
I'm happy he'll be there day 1. Most likely he'll end up calling in on launch day and skipping work like the rest of the world.
It's like corporate suits are actual human beings and not a reflection of their corporate slaves, huh.

Zelda will do that. It has a way of piercing even the toughest of corporate hides and reveal whether or not they are gamers. Shuhei is a tried and true gamer. You can see the excitement on his face. He was truly happy.
My man Shu. The man who believed in TLG. The man who own's two WiiU's and loves Nintendo. This is Shu.
Seriously though, who wouldn't? It looks cool and in a month I'll be firing up my Nintendo systems again to play all the games I missed. Splatoon should be the first.

Man, you and I need to play Splatoon some time.
Just sounds patronising when someone from the Playstation camp throws Nintendo a bone.
Pretty sure he's neither being patronizing nor throwing Nintendo a bone. Yoshida is very genuine, and he actually cares for gaming as a medium. He's defended Nintendo publicly on multiple occasions and stated their importance to the gaming ecosystem numerous times. He owns two Wii U systems, and multiple 3DSs, and he openly admits his family plays on those 3DSs more than they do on their PS4 or Vita.
He's legitimately an admirer of gaming as a medium, and so, he's recognized a really great game that's been shown. That's all there is to it.
@charizard1605: once I finish my summer course in about a months time. I promise we'll have a game night. Gonna need to familiarize myself with the games mechanics as well. :)
Hah yeah because a "one game company" is a competition, yeah Zelda will be great but when you finished that game you got nothing else for Nintendo.
Right, it's not like they will ever develop a game after this one.
Fall in line, cows gamers. It's over.
fixed!
Shu is a gamer and speaks from the heart as a gamer, and that's made clear here, it's only natural to celebrate a great game and sing praises when you get a chance to play one if you are a fan of gaming.
The vast majority of PS fans are gaming fans so there is no need for them to fall in line unless you mean buying a wii U lol. Zelda looks great but I will wait for NX to play it.
You're post only addressed non-gamers/blind fanboy platform loyalists.
See that fanboys? Your heroes have respect for the games on other consoles.
We all knew that since SONY tells us all to follow Live, Learn and Love.
I don't think the rest of your friends got that message...
I've seen a little of Zelda and it looks pretty good. Real gamers don't care about platforms they love gaming no matter what.
A respectable person.
Not a fanboy. I know that several Nintendo people who return the favor and have a lot of respect for the sony brand. All in all good games are good games. And the actual employees dont really care so much about System Wars like the fanboys do.
@charizard1605: He has no back bone just like Spencer, I guess. I mean that's how Spencer is treated for being vocal about another company's games. Yoshida=bitch ass now
It's things like this that makes fanboys and the whole console war thing that everyone argues about look absolutely dumb lol. You'll fight over nonsense and even the head of the piece of plastic you worship so much recognize great games, no matter the console......LOVE IT
Many people who work at Sony are multiplatform gamers. I went to a Sony store and the clerk owns Nintendo and Xbox platforms. He also owns a gaming PC. I think the same can be said about Nintendo and Microsoft. Companies are about making money, not appeasing to sheep, cows, lemmings and hermits in SW.
A lot of people in the game industry are like this. Fanboys are definitely the worst of the industry. Just because it is a competition, doesn't mean you want to see another competitor burn in flames
Even I that never cared about Zelda or most Nintendo games for the matter must admit the game does look really good
LOL, he knows a vast majority of Sony exclusives sucks, that's why he's resorted to playing a game (nintendo exclusive) that's even better.
Taking notice of your competitors and giving them credit where it is due is awesome. Who knows if its true or not, but I have seen others that are obviously just doing it for posture.
People always seem to believe that when something negative is said about a company, it stems from the allegiance to another. Nobody can conceive that negativity can come from caring that the company that's being criticized improves its lot. Being a "real gamer" is not blind positivity.

Definitely, there is no doubt that negativity and criticism can come from a well meaning place.
However, incessant negativity, with no credit whatsoever given, even when it is due, is not well meant, and there is a difference between that and the kind of well meant critique that you are referring to.
@charizard1605: I probably come off that way, but I do give Nintendo credit from time to time. I adore Pikmin, and have on numerous occasions stated they are unbeaten as a developer when they put their all into it.
It's just.....it's so frustrating to see them like this when they have everything needed to excel.

You do not come off that way at all, not in my book. You have given Nintendo credit multiple times, and especially their development chops- you are more or less like me in that you believe that Nintendo are great developers, but pretty shit at everything else, you just have more of a pessimistic bent than I do, is all
But there are other posters on this board who are incessantly negative about the company- either they will outright refuse to give them credit where credit is due, by ignoring them when they do well, or downplaying what they do well, or they will change the context of the discussion to spin it into something negative.
Generally speaking, when I call people out on their negativity (I cannot, after all, speak for others), those are the kinds of people I am calling out. Somebody like you, who I know only engages in informed criticism as and when necessary, is not on my mind during those occasions.
