http://venturebeat.com/2015/04/03/onlive-says-customers-wont-get-refunds-after-shutdown/

If you bought OnLive system in January or before you can't get a refund on the hardware.

If you bought digital full priced games on the OnLive service you will never ever be able to play them again

If you had any saved data or anything tis being wiped out

Sony bought OnLive and shut it down so technically sony did this.

No refunds on those games that you bought digitally, no support for the save states you had, and basically you have nothing an ppl could have bought it january this year with some games and they have nothing now after 3 months and sony buying the company

Onlive was fine till sony did this they played there games no warning at all sony comes in shuts everything down no refunds or anything how does a company get away with this?

conumers should be better protected people need to go after digital games and streaming after what just occured here people bought games and now they can't play them

kill the digital game scene an stream scene until consumers are better protected i still can play my nes/snes games on my systems

OnLive owners can't very bad they paid the same price for the same type of games its just not fair that they can't keep theres

People like to go all ape on Microsoft saying they're extremely anti-consumer and the worst offender in the industry, nope that would be Sony...

People don't forget with Microsoft, but if Sony does anything anti-consumer it gets downplayed and forgotten...

They make some good stuff but they're a terrible company...

Except Sony isn't shutting down onlive. Onlive is shutting down onlive and this is old news. Sony didn't buy onlive. they didn't acquire any services, memberships, servers or employees. They only bought the patents

this is a shit click bait thread

I seriously wonder if people actually read the stuff they post about. Sony didn't shutdown OnLive because it didn't buy OnLive. OnLive was already about to shutdown and Sony just came in to acquire patents and assets that they will most likely incorporate into PS Now. Way to spread misinformation TC.

Not a surprise if true because Sony are known to shut down their own servers more often and earlier than others like with MAG, Resistance Trilogy, Socom, Calling All Cars, MGO, Gran Turismo 5, PlayStation Home and only like a year old MLB 2014 just to name a few. Sony shuts them down because they can but their dumb ass fans will make up excuses for them like "umm umm no one plays these games anymore" and crap like that. Knowing Sony's history with shutting down servers more often and earlier than others should make their consumers wary about Sony's online services and plans in my opinion.

Man, there used to be a guy by the name of Ryusaki or something on here that always championed Onlive, I think he got a job with them or something.

Wonder how that dudes taking all this, lol.

Edit: oh so it's fake.

No need for two threads at once.
