so far sony has penetrated 1% of its own market.  when it changes, we can revisit the issue, but now it stands...

ps3 = flop

so if they sold 10 million in 4 months(only 10%) is it a flop? i cant comprehend what you are saying because it is so stupid, no offense but it really is no way Sony can get close to even 20-30 million until 1.5 years from now...

If you go by that logic, than the 360 has only penetrated 50% of its predecesor's fanbase...

Considering the short amount of time it has been out, price, lack of killer-apps and bad press, I'd say that is a great achievement. I mean, it broke records. It sold alot more than the 360 did at this time last year, and it was a worldwide launch.

600k sold to retailers, with them reporting less than 60% sold.

otherwise, there is NO way for anyone to have accurate sell through this early...
