All companies do this to some extent using many different methods. The NSA stuff is a bit different than this. They may collect data using kinect if you don't turn it off and this is not a deal with an agency that collects data like NSA.

I love how, of the list of companies that are known contributors to the PRISM program (MS, Google, Apple) neither Sony or Nintendo were named, even though both companies' consoles are in more homes than the Xbox. Yet MS was one of the first contributors.

Every online network EULA or ToU has the same terms the OP outlined in the opening, including Blizzard and Valve. And this is because, in matters of criminal activity or any to help with the information request of various law enforcement agencies to help solve criminal cases. Actively creating openings so that government agencies can openly and unabashedly datamine information is an entirely different case altogether. And the ramifications of a PRISM-ready Kinect is far worse than anything Sony is presenting.

Wow how many hours of hardcore research did it take to dig up this earth shattering monumental life altering information? Well that's it there is no way Sony will get out of this one, they better just close up shop and liquidate everything before the lawsuits start rolling in. "Oh no"... I just thought about it that means pretty much every website and company that has accounts with people will all fall also. Thanks a lot... see what you have done, you with your incredible investigative skills have pretty much taken down the entire web and most businesses with one ground breaking discovery. I hope you're happy, now it's all over, the internet, corporations, gaming, banks hell pretty much everything is done, thanks a lot, I guess were back to pre industrial revolution.

And I thought taping your phones, reading your emails, installing key logging software and just plan selling out your customers to the U.S. government was bad, but this is just too much to even comprehend. Maybe it is time to go back to dirt roads, horses, and chamber pots because after this revelation where can we go but down.

PRISM. It's just PRISM. As far as something this wide-ranging and far reaching, its this. Don't try and set-up a contemplative scenario that leaves Sony or Nintendo complacent. As of right now, there is no evidence to suggest such a scenario exists.

Lets remember that the only reason we know about PRISM was because of a whistleblower, who knows how many programs like PRISM are out there.

PRISM. It's just PRISM. As far as something this wide-ranging and far reaching, its this. Don't try and set-up a contemplative scenario that leaves Sony or Nintendo complacent. As of right now, there is no evidence to suggest such a scenario exists.

A few months ago, there was no evidence to suggest that PRISM existed.
