I don't mind with the written review, he brings up some good points. I don't agree with all of those, but I can accept different opinions.

My problem with him is the numeric valor it gave to such review, come on. Especially when you compare to other games he reviewed.

Maybe we played different games?

Edit: Btw, I accepted his controversial reviews like LoU and SS. But this one? Damn. I cant see him with the same eyes. And I know that gaming is a subjective kind of thing.

Okay I lol'd.

He's not the one who gives the score though. It's been mentioned in the forums before by McShea himself that the other reviewers read the review and decide what the score should be based off the written review. The one who actually writes the review is never the one who assigns it.

Sigh....game scores don't compare games to each other. This is why nobody respects gamers....

I read the review and I find most, if not all, of his points to be with valid reason. What I don't agree with is the 4.0 that the review has been attached to. I feel a 7.0 would justify the game I played and how I understood it. You might disagree with me but as they say. Each to their own, my friends.

He's an awful critic, I wouldn't be surprised if they did this just for feedbackula.

Infinite was consolied trash (but it was still best on PC)

If nothing else, I give him credit for not exclusively using the 7-10 rating system that every other reviewer uses.

I guess this is the way it will be from now on, an official review and then another one for hipsters...which is basically a joke review, so of course McShea is the perfect guy for the work.

I don't know why anyone would care what McShea thinks at this point. His reviews are consistently terrible, and his hatred of Bioshock stems from his hatred of violent games. He hates violent videogames; I love them with a passion. @rjdofu: That shouldn't be a surprise though as Beyond: Two Souls is better than almost any 2013 game. (TLOU, GTA V,Bioshock: Infinite being some of the few exceptions)

That's the good thing about multiple reviews: you get to dismiss the critics you don't relate to and favour the ones you do.

A 4 represents a game which is border line unplayable, bugged, unstable, poor gameplay and/or bad graphics. None of these are true for Bioshock Infinite, making the score completely unjustified. A professional reviewer should be able to determine the qualities of a game and give a fair unbiased view without being prejudiced by personal opinion of gaming genres, or in Mr McShea's case the need to create controversy by going against the grain for the sake of it.

Getting worked up over this makes no sense, Kevin's review is still the primary one, and the 9.0 is the "official" GS score.

That 4.0, I care about it as much as I care about some random user review... though I must say I agree with some of the points Tom made. Still, for me Infinite is one of the best FPS games this year.

McShea is probably chuckling wile he reads some of these disses at his opinion. Wen people take scores to seriously, they need to stop for a sec., breath in and out and remember that these are numbers pulled out of the ass of whomever assigned them. They're literally nothing more, they're purely subjective and don't come even remotely close at quantifying the quality of a game.

Reading what the guy thinks is were it's at. If you agree, fine, if you don't, still fine. They're both of equal importance, they're different perspectives which are totally in line with the fact that no game will ever be universally appealing.
