Crytek was aiming at 10 million by the end of the year instead they end up selling less than the original Crysis but in 3 platforms, lost their core fanbase and their fame as a legendary studio that creates cutting edge video games. Who is to blame now the pirates again? I don't think so. Any other pc gamers happy because of this outcome?

Camarillo told in a podcast that they were aiming towards 7 million units, not 10, but so far will be hard to the game reach 3 millions, I think.
And what happened is that Crysis 2 isn't as good as his prepursor, neither in visuals, gameplay, story or multiplayer, so they lost ground in the PC hardcore community and at the same time didn't gain enought momentum in the console scene to build a huge success.
Is important also to take in consideration how important is a popular mp in the fps world: now that Crysis 2 is on consoles if you don't like the mp the campaign is a thing that you can simply run on a rental weekend, which hurts sales.
This is in fact one of the dangers that MW3 must confront: if the multiplayer fails to compete against Battlefield 3 I can see some millions of units sold turned into just weekend rentals...
