for example
you have a TV
and all the space between and arround the 3D object, in this case a TV would be 4D ?
plz explain, its biting I want to know

our world is 4D, 4D is something that ages over time. You can put day/night in a game, but that's not 4D. 4D is the flowers in a game are growing, the river erodes away the banks on either side of it, your character can grow beards over time as he gets older, buildings are decaying, food may mold. The 4th demension is the aging over timeO_Lineman17
I never knew that! :o Thanks for sharing that. :D
So much misinterpretation! Time is the fourth dimensionof 3-Dimensional space. It's the fourth dimension of the third dimension. However, there is quite definitely a fourth SPATIAL dimension, which adds two directions. 3D has up, down, left, right, foreward, and backward. 4D adds ana and kata, two more spatial directions which are perpindicular to our 3-dimensional directions... all 6 of 'em.
A 4th dimensional cube has 8 sides, each of which is a 3rd Dimensionalcube.
4th dimensional objects can only be observed as cross-sections to us. Let's look at the 2nd dimension. Now, the 2nd dimension is flat, as we know. So it can only really observe any 3-D object through a cross-section. Say the 2nd dimension was the surface of a pool of water (solely for imagery's sake). The only space that exists in 2D would be on the very surface of the pool.
As you put your hand in the pool, only the area that was directly flush with the surface of the water would be observable to the 2D world. It would appear first as 5 distinct cirlces (as you put your fingers in), then a long, oblong shape (your palm).
Our observations of the 4th dimension are like that, too, but 1 dimension higher. We can only really visualize or see cross sections or unfoldings of4th dimensional stuff.

in the end sony is using the misconception of "time" as the fourth dimension for marketing purposes... attacting people by saying they can render "4d graphics"

nice explanation
we can't actually visualise instances of 4D.....we can only see what are like "cross-sections" of 4D instances.
for example, we have a 3D figure shown on a graph with an x,y and z axis. say we take cross sections of this object on the x,y axis. each 2D cross sectional figure are what instances of the 3rd dimension look like.
now if we have a 4D object - we can't actually see all 4 dimensions shown at once. what we can see are instances of the 4th dimension, which will all look like 3d figures. for every instance of the 4th dimension, we can visual a 3D figure that represents it.

You are wrong if time was another dimension, we would be able to travel along its axis in either direction. Einstein himself proved this to be wrong. Time as the 4th dimension is just a popular myth. Yes computers can theorize any number of dimensions, that does not mean they exist.

The 4th Dimension = Time.
And according to Quantum Mechanics there are 11 dimensions total in the Grand Unified Theory.
No, I am not making this up.

Don´t make them sound evil, it´s a really cool idea, don´t tell me you don´t find it interesting.
